  1. Yeah I loved RE4 but it didn’t age well. The beginning few hours are legit fantastic but then it slowly descends into RE research lab genericness. RE8 stay a lot truer to theme and as a result a lot more fun throughout. Also there is legit not one thing scary in RE4. Village at least has that one whole sequence. And whoever thought of that sequence needs help 😂
  2. Perfecting deep fake stuff would probably still wow me. But who knows, maybe there’s some cool effect that hasn’t been invented yet that could still amaze people the way bullet time or the T1000 did. I put my trust in James Cameron to find a way haha
  3. Just finished it. Great ending that sets things up beautifully going forward. Only negative I have to say is that any scene without either Yen, Geralt or Ciri was def a drop. And Jasper I thought was too modern if that makes sense? Like I get they use modern profanity which is fine but I felt like most of Jaspers jokes didn’t have any kind of medieval twinge to them. That’s probably just a me thing though haha. So Blood Origins is about the time right after the conjunction?
  4. Just thought I’d bump since this is finally beginning it’s first wave of distribution. Anyone else back it?
  5. Any tips for getting into painting miniatures? I don’t play any of the big games like Warhammer. But I’d love to give so life to my Gloomhaven and upcoming Return to Dark Tower miniatures
  6. I wonder how many people were like me and got turned off by the constant crashes combined with the inability to save mid run. Then never got around to coming back to it once they fixed those issues.
  7. If you’re at the part where you just have to survive, the best bet is to save all your shotgun ammo then get onto the one roof you can access and try to stay up there. The shotgun is strong enough to knock most enemies off. Also look for the red barrels to take out some other enemies. For this part don’t be afraid to look up a YouTube video or two to see exactly how others have done it and you’ll be able to gauge how long you need to last.
  8. You were hoping the violence level would live up to all the R rated Star Wars movies out there?
  9. Remember to temper your expectation on this one though. It’s really good and a lot of fun but it’s certainly not in the “game of a generation” type category haha
  10. Cloud Atlas I really enjoyed but I 100% could understand why it was divisive and how someone could dislike it. Last Jedi I loved but 100% could not understand people that didn’t like it and when they try to explain I just assume they’re morons and incapable of rational thought. So I’m curious which of those two forms of divisive it will be.
  11. That sounds like that would be a wonderful business to get into if you can find the right spot
  12. Well Skillz had a bit of a leg up in that he actually works in field haha. @sblfilms would you assume that places like Alamo skew older vs younger because of the difference in disposable income? I assume you don’t have to order food/beer at Alamo but maybe feels weird if you don’t so people in their 20’s don’t go as often because it’s more of a big event type experience for them? Im kinda assuming we’ll get a shift more and more towards those event type theaters(we have a local chain in Maine called Smittys that has table service inside the theater and big arcades/bowling attached) but combine it with some kind of monthly pass that would make the experience cheaper for those who go more often. Again me just assuming people in their 20’s go more often because of dating/free time etc…
  13. Should be a week. But at the very least wait until opening weekend is over. But for a movie that has been absolutely draped in spoiler warnings and surprise theories. To just openly post spoilers right away is a massive douche bag move.
  14. Honestly that RT patch wasn’t great. It’s not like Miles Morales where it still runs at 60fps. It def chugs a bit compared to the normal performance mode.
  15. Little tone deaf to bitch about people going back to the theaters in full force when the pandemic is hitting record high numbers. And I think theaters were always heading this way anyway. Theaters are going to have to lean harder and harder into the experience model like Alamo Drafthouse.
  16. Oh yeah I was agreeing about the Witcher 2. But I’m also someone that had zero issues with pacing and time jumps of season 1. I think the show is pretty much perfect.
  17. Agreed. I’ve read the books and honestly couldn’t care less. The show feels like more of an adaption of the world the games created than the books and honestly I think that’s for the better. I enjoy seeing stuff and characters from the books but I couldn’t care less if they even hit the proper beats. Wheel of Time I care more about but like you said I think they’re doing a spectacular job adapting that series. They are hitting every important major story beat, just changing how we get there for TV. And honestly as a book reader it’s fun getting to be surprised by new stuff in that world again. I also agree about its pacing. Moraine and Lan have been perfectly done but the kids feel rushed. Not massively. I think If they’d done 10 episodes and included two “traveling episodes” it would have done wonders for that show. Fantastic as it already is.
