Finally getting around to see this. Loved it. Interesting concept, great tension. Love that’s there’s no explanation, just an evil that exists. Funny having just finished modern Halloween and what that series has become. And then going to It Follows which was very clearly inspired by the original in a lot of ways. Half way to 31!
  2. Agreed. I get what you’re saying. Like how Hellraiser Inferno isn’t a great Hellraiser movie in regards to its usual formula, Pinhead and the Xenobytes being almost entirely absent. But on its own, outside the context of Hellraiser it’s actually pretty damn good. This movie gave me similar feels.
  3. Huh? His post wasn’t “shitting” on the elves. He was stating that given the Elves strength and role as “protectors/saviors” of middle earth during this period in history, their missteps have greater consequence than those of the humans and dwarves during the same period.
  4. 100% this. Except the second paragraph. Both of them are cool. They need a crossover Daemon and Galadriel show.

I think the plot was a super odd choice for the “final” Halloween but in a void I like it. Gave me those Corey Feldman Friday the 13th vibes. What a weird trilogy. All three movies so drastically different in tone.
  6. Loved it, what an absolutely perfect finish to an amazing show. I had goosebumps for the entire episode. Fuckers made me tear up twice.

The dialogue is bad, the pacing is weird, the plot doesn’t make a lot of sense. But god damn did I love it 😂 I disliked every character except Lorie so much that I audibly cheered when Michael went all John Wick at the end. Cool idea to bring the kids back but fuck them haha. Goofy ass movie but I thought it was a lot of fun.
  8. NY during that time period is absolutely facinanting and it often gets overlooked. I’m down to spend more time there.
  9. People know that Leslie Neilson wasn’t a comedic actor until very late in his career right? He played mostly villains. So hating on Liam Neeson becasue he hasn’t done much comedy is kind of a dumb take. I’ve missed these kind of completely stupid pun based comedies. But if anyone can bring it back it’s the Lonely Island guys.

I LOVED the 2018 version. I loved that it is essentially the exact same plot but that it subverts expectations from the original. Recreating shots but with Lorie in the place of Michael becasue she’s the real predator. The moment when you realize all her teachings sunk in with her daughter and she’s just as ready for Michael as her mom was fantastic. Best modern version of a 70/80’s horror movie hands down.
  11. I was in the 7 range until the ending. It just fell a little flat for me. But it’s a very well made piece of flatness haha. I could see how other people could rate it much higher. Especially if you actually stay in Air BnB’s which I never have.
  12. Maybe she just doesn’t realize that he’s in fact just, “mostly” dead. Miracle Max cameo incoming

A true masterclass on how to lack any suspense and fail to build any tension. I didn’t hate it. It’s just nothing. Nothing happens, and the little that happens towards the end is so abrupt and generic that it might as well have not happened at all.

Had it rated much higher until the end. It didn’t have a terrible end but I don’t think it lived up to the mystery it was building.
  15. Cause they couldn’t just put it on Shudder? I mean really, is there a need for more than one Horror streaming service?
  16. New Matt looks close enough. I’ve already forgotten the old one anyway haha. Despite my complete and utter hatred of the finale. I did really enjoy the show. Hoping they can slow down to take a breath and take the next step in season 2. Rings of Power pretty much moved the bar for Fantasy TV to the moon though so we’ll see how this holds up.
  17. Early 2023?? Ehhh I kinda hope that gets delayed. The hit detection could use a lot of work. I feel like a douche saying that but I don’t usually notice or care about it that stuff. But if it sticks out to me than it must be jarring to others.
  18. Wait, who was Ted other than Ted? Sorry, Marvel is reaching beyond the limits of my comics knowledge at this point haha
  19. Oh I know I’m in the minority haha. I don’t see why you can’t if the story you’re telling is a prequel though. If you’re taking her Arc from A to B and you already know B but there’s no established information about A. I don’t see why you couldn’t take creative license with A. To me, I feel like a lot of this is based off her reaction to Frodo offering her the ring and what she says. We know there’s some level of darkness there already. So to start her off as a kind of one note, revenge driven character doesn’t seem to crazy to me. Is it original or particularly interesting? No not really. But I don’t find anything wrong with it like others do. I think as long as we start to see some better development soon it’s fine. But that’s just me Yes 1000% I feel like I find her more and more attractive with each episode.
