    I was going to type something very similar but you hit the nail on the head already, especially the bolded. Personally, I actually think it's incredibly tasteless and offensive coming from a fucking video game series all about Monster energy drinks, gym-bro marketing with faux-hawks, zombies and whatever other nonsense they can cram in to sell more copies. I'm not a fan of pseudo-realistic military and WWII games to begin with but from what I'm reading here, this definitely takes the cake and is the definition of tone-deaf.

    I've always severely disliked Vice as a whole for what I perceived to be essentially smug Startup Bro virtue-signaling sold as product. Their self-aggrandizing bullshit is off the charts. I feel oddly vindicated right now even if this doesn't have shit to do with me

    Arkane have been on a fucking roll so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt but if it's some Co-op online shit, the chances of me buying it are approximately 2%. Also, my god with these CG trailers...

    Same here, this trailer is a whole lot of nothing for me. Actually, less than that, simply because the art direction being shown here looks lame. What's with the giant Troll Doll on fire? First From game I can honestly say I wouldn't even keep my eye on if it weren't for their track record as of right now.

    I haven't read a single one honestly. I'm not sure what's kept me from it but I always have a giant stack of book backlog and I'm not always in a reading mode. I've been making my way through Albert Camus' bibliography as of late. It's somewhere on the endless list though...

    I even saw it when I was a kid and thought it was shit then. I grew up on coked-out, bizarro Hollywood 80's "kids flicks", it's not like I needed logic or even a plot in my Fantasy.

    Lynch version is such dog shit. As a huge David Lynch fan, I can't wrap my head around fans of his excusing it as some masterpiece, which I have actually seen.

    Wtf is happening in this franchise? Why is Doom now a platformer with Nickelodeon aesthetics? It definitely looks more fun than the first reboot title but it's just a baffling development for the franchise to me overall. Weird to see.

    This should come with the OG soundtrack like REMake 2. I probably won't play it anyway because of that lame episodic shit but there is no way anything could match the original soundtrack.

    Dead To Me - 7/10 Recommended to me by several people as a kind of must-watch. I thought it was pretty much carried by Christina Applegate's great performance and veered into some territory that frankly increasingly annoyed me. The season 1 ending, and the last few episodes in general, felt increasingly tonally weird and sillier by the minute to me as well. Definitely didn't think it was bad and rather entertaining overall but it felt like it floundered a lot. Christina Applegate was really good, funny and exciting to watch though.
