Books What Are You Reading or Listening To?
Nokra replied to rc0101's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
I'll be interested to know what you think of Harlem Shuffle. It's one that I was "supposed" to read for a book club but I didn't get very far before getting distracted and not finishing. -
General Gaming What games have you purchased lately?

Did you get Tony Hawk and TMNT digitally from the Nintendo Store? Or was there a deal on the physical versions somewhere? -
On the topic of stuffing, somewhere I found this recipe for a super easy meatloaf that turns out amazingly well: 1 1/2 lbs ground beef 1 pkg. Stove Top stuffing Preheat oven to 350 F Mix stuffing as directed on the package. Mix with the uncooked ground beef. Put into a loaf pan. Bake (uncovered) for 45 minutes.

It really is. One awesome thing I'm already noticing, for example, is that just having the voices and music separated out to the center and surround speakers, respectively, really helps to hear both of them so much better. It's making me appreciate the music in Rings of Power even more. This separation is probably old news to everyone else but like I said, this is the first time I've had actual surround sound in my movies at home.

Nice, enjoy the freedom! I'm semi-concerned about losing my job in the next few months so I'll be keeping LinkedIn for now.

76 year old comedy god gets it! -
I ended up doing a (comparatively) major home theater upgrade for myself this Black Friday. I already had a pretty cheap Samsung 4K TV (IIRC it was around $250 or 300 from Costco) and I bought the above 4K Blu-ray player (Sony UBP-X800M2) and also bought the Vizio M51ax-J6 5.1 sound bar. Just rewatching Rings of Power on Prime with it was awesome... My first time ever having Dolby Atmos at home. Tomorrow I'll get the Blu-ray player hooked up and make Lord of the Rings UHD my first 4K movie with Dolby Atmos at home.

Yeah this one was a bugger. Here's the film's IMDB link (so obviously don't click it if you don't want it spoiled before you play ): https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085809/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 -
Looks like you're having a fun time.

"He expressed no anti-Semitism" is a nice way to dance around his previously-expressed anti-semitism.

I ate the rest of my frozen pizza from yesterday for lunch.

You got as emotional as a woman! But seriously, what a shitty thing to tell someone, I'm sorry. Did you even try to reason/argue with him about it, or did you just leave it be, since he isn't so bright, as you said?

PC Tech Ok so what we doing for game storage beyond our nvme’s?
Nokra replied to stepee's topic in PC/Mac Technical and PCCB
Between having 3 TB of NVME storage in my desktop (2 M.2s) and not playing more than two or three different games at a time within any two week period (and sometimes less than that since I'm still hopelessly addicted to TF2), I haven't had to worry about this, honestly. You can get external enclosures for M.2s though so that down the road you could throw them into your new system if you wanted to go that way. Honestly though for cheaper storage you can also look into 2.5" SATA SSDs. For loading content like games, I don't think it will make that much difference. -
I'd add: Every country has people with mental health issues.
