Reminds me of the poll where like 80% of people said they should have labels saying their food contained DNA, of course they probably wouldn't have come up with it themselves had they not asked, but still, lol.

I don't recall ever being taught that the number characters we use were called "Arabic numerals." I remember reading a story were a guy from earth goes to fantasy land and the guy commenting that the people write out the numbers long-hand and didn't use any type of Arabic numerals.
