jinx8402 Posted November 28, 2022 Share Posted November 28, 2022 I know Gunn said the star wars holiday special was inspiration for this but Spoiler I didn't expect the opening sequence to be in the exact style of it. Lol. Thought this was a really fun and light hearted special. Marvel might be onto something with these specials for stuff that can fit in between a full movie and a series. Greatoneshere Posted November 29, 2022 Share Posted November 29, 2022 The wife and I just watched the special - we found it to be fun, funny, and heart warming, all things you want out of a holiday special. The songs were clever and well done and nothing ever felt forced. Overall the special is pretty slight for the most part, but one plot detail sort of makes it an absolute must watch. Like Werewolf by Night, this was better than it had any right to be (James Gunn is the reason why), and Disney really might be on to something with these television specials.
