69los
Patrick Wilson's character's last name isn't Stamper so I'm slightly less interested in this.
Derek
Oh, Roland, you love to watch the world burn.
CitizenVectron
Before watching the trailer I made myself a prediction: It will be about the moon "falling" down into the Earth, and they will use a space shuttle at some point because people only recognize space shuttles as rockets, not real rockets. So...I was pretty much right.

Greatoneshere
I mean, it's co-written and directed by Roland Emmerich, you know what you're getting. I liked a lot of his older films, but since 2004's The Day After Tomorrow the only one I've seen of his since is Independence Day: Resurgence, which was awful. Only Anonymous has looked good since The Day After Tomorrow, though audiences seemed to like White House Down and Midway though critics really did not like either of those (White House Down looked fun, Midway looked bad like Pearl Harbor is bad). Midway was nowhere near as bad as Pearl Harbor, but it was aggressively bland. I also had to google White House Down to remember if I've seen it. It was okay, I guess. You're not really missing anything.

TheLeon
It’s almost admirable how this movie starts dumb, and just triples down on stupid over its runtime. If you know what you’re getting into, there’s fun to be had.

Dre801
Forgot all about this movie until one of my SmartTV apps showed an ad for it last night. I legitimately forgot it was released. I looked it up, and HOLY SHIT did this flop. Wow.

TheLeon
Yeah, if you’re in the mood for a big, dumb movie, this one is really big and really dumb. I’m not surprised to see it lost a cool 100 mil.
