No. If you own the remake, yiu get a free upgrade to "Intergrade" which includes the Yuffie chapter.

That was okay. I mean it’s a nice handful of games, I guess I didn’t realize it was supposed to be a small one. 
 

Some good stuff though and especially as I was waiting to play FF7 until the ps5 version, I’m hyped to see that’s happening in early June.


I’m sold on Kena and Death Loop, was hoping Kena would be earlier though ;(

 

I think Returnal isn’t for me but if they want to make this one of their surprise ps5 ps+ games they are doing then I’ll give it a shot. Soulstorm is a cool freebie, I think I want Oddworld to try 3D again but I’ll try it to see what side scrolling Abe is like in 2021.

I was also under the impression the Bonus chapter is included with the game, which is an upgrade to PS5 for free (if you own the PS4 version).

 

Even Square's Website says nothing in terms of paying extra for it. It's included in the new version.

I don't think it's unfair but at the same time it's kind of a dumb idea to not include it. If Yuffie is going to be introduced in the next part and this story DLC is a big setup for her character it's probably a good idea to get people to see that story content. If it's optional not everyone will see it.

I mean, it was exactly as advertised. Deep dives into some PS4/PS5 games, no huge business acquisition moves. My thinking is that something like Horizon will get its own State of Play, similar to Ghost of Tsushima.

 

So in that case, yeah, I didn't feel like my time was wasted unless you decided to get your hopes up for a PSVR2 reveal and a Metal Gear Solid remake. :p

Doubt it's anything consequential.  The original FF7 didn't need to introduce her this early.

Max has a big brain theory which sounds like a likely scenario. Because Yuffie has a different personality from the original game than she does in this trailer that she will undergo some transformation in this DLC that will make her become the character she is in the original game (which will be in the next part of the remake) - Probably being that jobber she's with in the trailer dies or something.

Remake is very heavy on character development and I don't think this DLC is going to stray from that idea. It's likely going to be very important in the long run.

Then it's just added backstory.  It'll only be important in the long run if they start doing flashbacks to it or expect you to know it.  Which I doubt, since it's optional DLC.

I don't even really have an opinion on Elden Ring honestly, I just want a Bloodborne PS5 upgrade. I thought the Elden Ring CG trailer was uninteresting and the fact George RR Martin is involved does nothing for me either. I mean, it's From so I assume good things but for right now it seems like a whole lot of nothing.
