What do you think is wrong with my arm?

That could be anything from a pinched nerve in your arm to some symptoms of a heart attack. I would go to the doctor's office ASAP or at least use telemed to talk with a medical professional.

Why would @Remarkableriotsdo something silly like that? Asking the professional doctors on D1P is a much more solid plan.

Like others said, probably see a Dr. Do you do anything physical that would have caused it? I will say a bad sitting position alone can cause some crazy aches and pains over time. I had an older recliner that I sat on for years. Eventually I started getting a pain in one of my elbows from the arm rest. Some aching numbing pain that would linger. I think I recognized the armrest was the problem and started sitting at a slightly different angle on the chair which caused a bunch of other weird pains in places over time. Finally got rid of the chair.

I think it's because i rest my head on my arm when i sleep but it's the only way i can get comfortable. i haven't been sleeping great because i have been tossing and turning trying to get comfortable with my arm hurting.

I had slept on my side a lot and my arm would go numb from the shoulder down, but not from the elbow down like you. If you think it's from sleeping I'd advise trying to get more comfortable sleeping on your back.

About 5 years ago I lifted product to put on a grocery shelf and felt excruciating pain in my wrist to my elbow. So I bounced back and forth between doctors on what my issue was. It was a workplace injury and went through our WSIB in Ontario. So I went from being told possible sprained wrist, bone chip in wrist, possible tear, to “I don’t see any issues”, I think it might be permanent because I don’t know what your pain is coming from. So I went back to my family doctor and got a new X-ray after 2+ years of not getting one, see bone chip and refer me to a specialist. I brought all my imaging in for him to look at and found the issue in the 3rd image from my first checkup with WSIB. I some how took the ligament in my wrist and pop a tendon in my right wrist. So the had to open me up, deepen the bone grove in my wrist and add bone wax to help keep my ligament their once again, and placed tendon back over top. That was 2 years ago last week and still not 100% better and probably never will, but it is a HUGE improvement from where I was.

Tingling/numbness in the pinky to the elbow is likely cubital tunnel syndrome. See a doctor if possible, but if they’re anything like mine, they’ll just tell you to sleep with a splint on your elbow. There’s a good chance that will help, but it might take weeks to feel better.

You can massage it too by applying pressure to the nerve by your elbow to release pain. I get this lately as I've been doing more arm exercises and my YUGE muscles (not that yuge) are basically squeezing the nerve

You can massage it for him. He might even leave you a $200 tip!

My back was in agony this morning right when I was trying to get to sleep. Luckily it felt better later on.

Foam roll your hips. I recommend Trigger Point Grid like a pro.

TRIGGERPOINT.IMPLUS.COM

Feel more steady on the TriggerPoint GRID® 2.0 Foam Roller! It’s 26-inch length can handle larger bodies or offer more stability to roll tight muscles.

what do you do if it’s your upper back that hurts

Lay on your back, on the floor, legs up on a couch or chair. Carefully use a softball under various trigger points and use your bodyweight as pressure. You can also lay with it behind your neck and roll it around, also works great on hips and glutes.

You can buy massage balls but a big yellow softball will get in there and really work the issues. I have smaller ones I use sometimes for around my scapula. Works great along spine just be cautious and don't like... slam yourself down on it because you could severely injure yourself.

If you have pain in your pecs or shoulders it also works great there. You can place it on a wall and lean into it, I love my walls so I don't, but if you have a garage or a post that might work.

Oh, lastly, most non-injury body aches are related to sitting. Spending time doing some sort of physical fitness and doing self-care-maintenance and recovery is essential to feeling "normal." You don't realize how much pain you may be in without a point of reference, it's like thinking you have great vision but never have had an eye exam. You just can't possibly know.
