  1. At my parents with my daughter (flying solo) so if there’s any gaming it’ll either be a random game from my childhood bedroom shelf or Chinatown Wats as I found it in a drawer and thought, why not. Tuesday though, after some DIY I’ll be playing a fair few things as it’s my one day left to it in the foreseeable future.
  2. I’m such an easily swayed person but…I really want to play (and finally complete) Banjo Kazooie in a way that doesn’t require my laptop. If they make a monthly package, I’ll be there…
  3. Just had my booster, it was by far and away the most pain free injection I’ve ever had. Or after three in as many months, I’m not used to them.
  4. Eat more, drink more, sleep more and take 2-3 days off completely.
  5. War and Peace: when something is this stupidly long, it’s hard to really sum it up in a comment… …but great historical novel about war (though barely any actual fighting), a great historical novel about the life of the (changing) life of he Russian aristocracy, a great portrait of Russia and a lot of interesting reflections…also about 150,000 words too long and any time Tolstoy decides to write a chapter of reflections instead of pushing forward the novel are a bore. I'm now looking forward to reading one of the 7 books I have lined up that won’t destroy my brain with names.
  6. Italy. Work at an English pub and be a local legend. If I was choosing anywhere, Florence.
  7. The first has appeared on Netflix UK, so I’ll determine my level of excitement after watching it this weekend.
  8. Will Heritage Auction House end up being the greatest money scam since the approach banks took prior to the 2008 recession?
  9. This for the next month or so. I may rotate and try some N64 this weekend and see how it goes.
  10. At the 1200 page mark in War and Peace. I haven’t consistently read it, but it’s still ticking along nicely. Aiming to finish it before Christmas so I can read one of the other 5 books I have lined up. Work related, my school purchased a book called I Don’t Give a Sh*t, Miss - so far it’s great. It’s focused on how to work with children with significant social and emotional issues - which is both interesting and hopefully really beneficial.
  11. I’m sure I’ve posted this - but this was THE game of lockdown for me. That mix of music, travel..:and a whole load of weird stuff mixed with nothing will always stay with me.
  12. I know these facts, but take away is rarely a pre-planned decision but usually born from a busy day, tricky toddler bedtime and a lack of energy. Sadly, with my own circumstances relating to that, it’s unlikely I’ll be making a trip out anywhere.
  13. Bought my wife The Witcher 3 in switch for her…third play through. Suffice to say, Zelda is on hold. Tried some GameCube and nothing pulled me in so back to Yakuza 0.

    I'm 31.

    Nothing wrong with being 32…
  15. Pain au chocolate is the winner, with a cappuccino.
  16. Italy. Get the interrail and experience several different places - all amazing.
  17. I believe my own hype, so yes. Though at the same time I also know that I can be annoying.
  18. 9/11 would be one. I feel bad that in terms of major UK, and global incidents I can remember the fact, but not my place. 7/7, the Ariana Grande concert, the bridge attack, start of the second gulf war etc are all in my memory - but only that. Which is odd really as I’m fairly good at remembering a lot of things from a particular event (usually).
  19. A Dyson vacuum and a new oven. Life has changed for me…
  20. Every teacher both loves and hates these types of children. I have some that I teach where if it’s a skill based mathematics lesson (say long division), they’ll finish 4x faster than everyone else. It’s like planning for two lessons of the same thing each time.
  21. That living museum idea is good, I’ll pass it on to some colleagues as they cover Ancient Egypt with 10-11 year olds.
