Just started Man of Medan tonight. Loving it. There’s a kind of “narrator” who seems to be acting as this anthologies “Crypt Keeper” which I LOVE. The game itself feels a little less polished than Until Dawn was. Which is kind of odd. There’s so odd very very short loading that kind of breaks the immersion. But other than that I love it!

Looking for some advice from the gamer dads out there. Im looking to start getting my 5 year old into console gaming for the first time and I need some advice on good games to start with. He’s been playing games on a phone/iPad since he was 2 so he’s got a pretty good grasp on general principles of games. But transitioning him from using his finger to using a controller, especially today’s controllers, has me at a loss. Any good games out there that would be good for a kid, that aren’t too complicated control wise that he can start to learn how to use a controller with? Thanks guys!

I think that sounds like a cool a idea. Like the equivalent of the “are you a robot” things websites have. Only this is “are you a dick” and it’s actually something fun to do.

I was actually surprised how genuine that apology seemed. Obviously no one can know how true or sincere it was except the person writing it. But I’m inclined to believe her. We strive for change and for people to better themselves. So I think we also must not rush to invalidate but to embrace those on seemingly on the edge of that change and betterment.

You know what I would do I if was a Disney marketing exec and I had a super edgy movie coming out under another studio? I’d leak that the parent company is worried the movie might be too edgy.

I mean, they made a movie out of The Ladies Man so why not?

Watch the movie first. The show is so grand I feel like if you’ve never seen the movie it might be a let down if you watch it second. Plus you’ll have an appreciation for how damn on point the show got everything and every character from the movie.

I believe you can only use points purchased with real money to level your player to a certain point. Like 87/88 overall. After that you have an endless grind to get them any higher.

If the average “only story” run is 11 hours but the completionist average is 20. That means the average gamer will probably take around 14/15 hours to finish the game. A reviewer is saying in his review that it takes 8, then that means he borderline did a speed run through the game to get his review out on time/early. Instead of actually experiencing most of what the game has to offer so he can give a well informed and accurate portrayal of the game to the public. That’s the point of reviewing something. Unless this guy specializes in “reviews for speed runners” in which case I apologize for my ignorance.

Lol I’m 36. I’ve played and appreciated plenty of old pixel art games in my time. But that’s where I like to leave them. They had their time 30 years ago. I don’t need to revisit it just like I don’t need VHS graininess artificially added to my new movies.
