  1. Honestly after Kingdom of Heaven I believe anything is possible. The theatrical cut was so bad it made me physically angry. The DC is arguably the greatest epic of all time. Lol I can’t count anything out now.
  2. Looks solid. I’m down. This is what I’d rather get from these remakes. A retelling instead of a shot for shot remake.
  3. Disney’s error? What error? So far they’ve released two MASSIVELY successful movies. Two movies that made an ungodly amount for money and were, and I know this board doesn’t want to hear this, for the most part universally praised. So what mistake did Disney make? That they didn’t make 3 low budget Art House versions of Star Wars with Daniel Day Lewis screaming at Wilem Dafoe for 3 hours?
  4. Same. My wife and I only get to 3 or 4 movies a year at this point. There was no way we were missing Knives Out. So good.
  5. I blew through the first 6 episodes just now. My sides literally hurt. The David character might be my favorite character on TV. Ever.
  6. Remember when I said even my kid understood the helmet thing...L O L
  7. Is Frozen 2 even any good? I feel like I’ve heard nothing about it. At this point in the originals run it was already being compared to the Golden Age movies and Let it Go was blowing up.
  8. i thought the same thing while watching it. I’d love to see more of Daniel Craig playing this detective.
  9. I assumed from the Flashbacks that his family is killed in that attack he keep reliving. Then joins/is taken by the Mandoliroans and raised as one. Or something along those lines.
  10. To be honest I don’t think the inability to see Mandos face has reduced the amount of feeling or emotion in the character at all. I mean he’s a stoic character by nature anyway so the little stares and head movements we’ve gotten paired with the little dialogue we got has done a PHENOMONAL job at subtly conveying his emotion. The show does both. But you can’t recognize that the dialogue in the show is limited then say the show is overly explicative and doesn’t show enough. The majority of the story telling and emotion is being delivered through images not words. We are shown both BY having fun and Mandos struggle with his connection to the small village and it’s reminder of his childhood. It was done as well as you could in a 30 minute episode and wasn’t as nearly out of the blue as say Ready Player Ones romance. I wouldn’t at all call it a love story. But I would say they did a good job conveying a connection between the two characters, something that could have been more had it been allowed to continue. To say it was ham fisted implies he kissed her or she professed her love for him out of the blue at the end. Neither happened. I really can’t see how people are missing the building emotions and bonds being developed. Let alone how you can miss the motivations for each character. Like what did he or any other character do that didn’t make sense?
  11. I didn’t bother reading any of that because past posts lead to believe its full of nonsense. I’m sure you used some big words though so 👍🏻
  12. Ehhh you’d have to go a lot lower to get me to bite on all those.
  13. yikes. Even my kid picked up on the idea that he was torn about staying.
  14. Wait, all you got out of the helmet stuff in that episode was he took it off just to eat? There was A LOT more going on symbolically with the helmet this episode.
  15. It was everything I hoped it would be. I love how he leaned into some tropes and circumvented others. There were so many little things in this movie that were just perfect.
  16. This. I feel more attached to Mando as a character because of this episode. The stuff with the helmet was especially powerful imo.
  17. When the farmers come to get the Mandalorian they say they wasted A DAY getting there. The camp is a day from that town. The raiders could be in a central area where they could hit multiple places. they weren’t hauling out truckloads of those things. They could be very valuable in that the small amount they harvest is enough to sustain the small settlement but not enough they could all build mansions. the episode holds up fine for what it is. Not moving the plot forward enough is a reasonable criticism.
  18. Jesus I can’t believe how much more fun this game gets once you get all your force powers. Not just from a combat perspective(freezing a blaster bolt then force pulling the trooper who shot it and putting him in front of the bolt is so damn satisfying) but from a platforming perspective as well. I haven’t had this much fun just platforming around and exploring since the Prince of Persia games.
  19. Not as good as the first 3 (that’s a high bar) but I still really enjoyed it. I liked having an episode where we got a little more character development time as well as building more of the bond between Mando and Baby Yoda. Uhh I don’t get any of the stupid problems people are having with the shock trooper(I don’t remember her name). She didn’t whip his ass it ended in a tie basically. She was just another highly trained warrior. If that character had been played by a man no one would have said a damn thing. Stupid.
