  1. I just walk/hike a bunch. I barely liked organized sports as a kid, and I can't think of any I would enjoy now. Well, if my wrists/forearms weren't ruined, I would love to join a bowling team. I did always like bowling, and I bet it's even more fun with beer.
  2. I've been meaning to give The Last Kingdom another shot. I watched maybe 4 episodes, and it never grabbed me. I don't remember exactly why. Do they do several huge time jumps in the first couple episodes alone? I think that's part of what threw me off.
  3. Filter by deals, 0-$4.99. Explore! You could get 10 games instead of one! The value!
  4. Love that they pulled an Ozark and ended the season on an RTJ track.
  5. To add to the confusion, in some territories it was called Casino Quarter Pounder.
  6. The show did get ruined for me (in a very minor, superficial way) when I started looking up the cast. I don’t know exactly how their characters are supposed to be, but IRL Riley and Bev are like three years apart, which is just wild.
  7. I’m starting to think this guy might have some issues with alcohol and the Catholic Church.
  8. Initial impression: this movie completely rules, and finally pays off the more connected nature of the Craig era.
  9. I love the idea of the Deck, but the only thing that would be more wasted on me than a gaming PC is a handheld gaming PC.
  10. Yeah, since I’ve avoided most open world action games for the last few years (not just Far Cry) I might be ready for this one. But I’m busy with a bunch of games at the moment, plus Metroid Dread is also coming this weekend, I can wait for a sale.
  11. I’m already bouncing between like 6 games at the moment, but I’ll probably end up buying and playing this over the weekend.
  12. Apparently this show is also a hit in the key middle school demo. My niece (who couldn’t make it through Hunger Games) started watching it because “everyone” at school was. Her mom walked in halfway through the first episode and made her turn it off, saying “trust me, you don’t want to watch this.” The kid didn’t listen, snuck into living room after the parents were asleep, and kept watching. Guess the point in that first episode where she ran into her parents room, waking them up, crying and screaming “who does that? Why do people like that!?!”
  13. The writer/director says: I’ve also seen people suggest it works as a call back to the first game (he does stop, after all).
  14. Who plays the Canadian defector? Cobie Smoulders? Justin Bieber?
  15. This in addition to other upcoming Netflix series “The Midnight Club”, which sadly has little to do with street racing.
  16. Other than buying way too many games from Steam sales/Humble Bundles, I never really appreciated most of the benefits of PC gaming, so at this point I’m just going to give up trying to stay current with hardware and stick to consoles for new games.
  17. Hmmm, do I load up my account now, to stock up on Vita games I’ll never play? It’s tempting.
  18. I guess if your whole game is a giant mess of characters from different IP, Sora is a natural fit. I had my fingers crossed for everyone’s new favorite voice actor, Chris Pratt.
  19. I’ll watch this again at some point. I might have still been in high school when I watched it the first time, and I didn’t dig it at all. But I’ve bounced off of other Lynch stuff in the meantime (I’ve tried getting into Twin Peaks three different times for example), so maybe it’s just not for me.
  20. I don’t want to victim blame or anything like that. It was professional production and there’s never an excuse. But hearing that a woman’s bare breasts were grabbed during the making of the Blurred Lines music video is maybe the least surprising story in this thread.
  21. I dunno, I had a blast with this movie. Big dumb fun, in and out in like 80 minutes. I could use more comic book movies like this.
