We have something new to blame on Oprah.

But she bought all those cars for her audience that one time! -
Should I be a total POS and upgrade from the 77” OLED to the 83” OLED?

Between this and the “where should I take my family for our international vacation” thread, my guy is asking questions that I’ll never be qualified to answer. -
Movies Why Movie Dialogue is So Hard to Hear Lately

When I’m at home, I wear headphones while watching pretty much anything. It helps with clarity, so I don’t need subtitles for things in English, except for the occasional very thick accent. -
I’m only a couple hours in, but I’m enjoying this so far. I don’t know if it’ll ever be the primary game in my rotation, but I’ll keep dipping into it here and there. I can already tell I’m gonna be real obsessive about saving as often as possible.

I mean, he’s a doctor, right? You’ve gotta be pretty smart to be a doctor. I’m sure that qualifies him to be a senator. -
General Gaming VResident Evil 4 [Oculus Version]
TheLeon replied to Keyser_Soze's topic in The Spawn Point
I was skeptical, but I ended up taking the plunge when I got a $10 off promo code from Oculus. Holy shit it's fun. That first big encounter in the village was incredible! Although I found out that I have to be careful how quickly I whip my head around. A couple of times it blacked out on me and by the time the image came back, I was dead. -
Joe Biden's War On Christmas

“Workforce of people who dress up like Santa down 15% from March 2020” ”Demand for a Santa-for-Hire is up 120% from March 2020” I understand that’s when lockdown started, but when we're talking about Santa, isn’t it pointless to refer to any month other than December? I guess maybe you can throw in the last few days of November too. -
I picked this up for $10. I’m happy to wait for the update to dive into it on my Series X, since I’m a little overwhelmed with games at the moment.

Yeah, I dug into the options last night (there are so many!) and picked colors that stick out a little more. It definitely helps, but when I see someone in all blue, my dumb brain still registers that as an ally first. Then I see the outline when they starting chucking grenades at me.

And then there’s Festivus for the rest of us. -
I know they can't do it in this era of cosmetics, but I wish they stuck to the classic Red/Blue. Sometimes in the heat of battle I can't always notice whether or not there's a little name floating above someone's head, and I end up wasting shots on a friendly.

I keep up with movies, even though they've largely been a shrug to me for a while. Black Panther is last one I really loved, and that's nearly 4 years ago. Other than that, I would have to go back to the first Guardians. The TV stuff I haven't kept up with very well, but I have high hopes for Hawkeye.

Just use the same password for everything. Much easier. And write it on a post-it note that you leave in plain sight on your desk, just in case you ever forget your very simple password.

Generally, yeah. I’ve had enough people say it to me over the years that eventually I started to believe them.

I think this might be a little much for me. I'm pretty neutral on the Beatles. I don't dislike them, when some of their songs come on I might single along and enjoy myself, but when I'm looking for music to listen to I'm never picking them. And as it turns out, I'm not particularly interested in them as people or their creative process. I'm halfway through part one and I keep thinking And they warn you about it upfront, but it's really jarring to me every time the recorded dialog is obviously not matching up with the footage.

When I know I have a bad one coming, I flush once just after it starts to drop, then flush again once I’m done. It’s not a perfect system, but it does help me stay mostly clog-free

This is what was getting me in BTB: especially when going for objectives, it’s not uncommon to turn a corner and get lit up by 3+ people at once. Hopefully, you’re going in with a crew of your own, but with randoms, you probably aren’t developing a plan more complex than “let’s all run to point C together” which makes you a good target for roughly 97,000 grenades. On the smaller teams, those satisfying, more drawn out shoot-outs tend to happen more often.
