  1. I just watched Jim Sterling's Jimpressions video on it, and it literally left me scratching my head. For someone who seems to understand what the game is, he then proceeds to criticize it for everything it isn't. Typical Jim Sterling, if it's not for him, then it's shit.
  2. I personally don't have anything against Wendy's, but there are so many good local burger joints in my area that any of the fast food chains rank pretty low on the priority list. I can't even remember the last time I went to a Wendy's, McD's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, etc. The only reason I go to Whataburger is because it was the local burger joint up until recently, and I don't even hit that one up as much as I used to. ...anyone thinking about even mentioning In n Out Burger can just keep on a-movin'...
  3. I can see where trading would be useful, but I do think they're keeping it simple on purpose. I remember one of the developers mentioning that they wanted minimize the amount of time people spent in menu screens. But who knows... we'll just have to wait and see how the game evolves.
  4. Yes. There's a message on the character screen that says "Connect two or more controllers to play local multiplayer." So.. I guess maybe up to four?
  5. I know it's asking a bit much, but i really hope that once it's finalized and released, they go back to the 360 generation and continue to work on back compat. I have some games like the TMNT and Xmen arcade games that can't even be purchased anymore languishing away on my 360 hard drive.
  6. I played the first two maps and the first secret area. It's good fun, i've just been busy ever since. I have a good feeling they'll build on it in time. I think cross-play is in the works iirc.
  7. I just saw it's being made by the same developer that did the other ones on PS4/XBO so it'll likely be more investigation/puzzle solving gameplay. I'm okay with this but i'm still hoping for a little more. No gay hispanic woman simulator this time around. Those of you looking forward to that will have to wait for Disney/Marvel's version.
  8. I'll be honest, the way things are going, I would have expected Sherlock Holmes to be a gay hispanic woman if not for the thumbnail. No hint as to what kind of game it will be. I'd be down for a third person action/adventure game, with investigative elements and a really good story. I liked the Sherlock Holmes games where you interview people and collect clues, but it took me a long time to get through it as I got tired of poking around. I hope it's not a walking simulator like Gone Home or Everyone's Gone to the Rapture.
  9. Ubi might be allowing Microsoft to list the Xbox 360 version through XBO store since they want you to re-buy the HD Ezio collection. If you have an X360, maybe try buying it through there?
  10. So i guess we know its a Playstation game, because they dont give a shit about any other platform besides Tim Geddes and his Nintendo fetish. Eh, it looks like an indie showcase. Xbox Excluded confirmed!
  11. I used to buy mainly physical copies for resale purposes, but honestly, unless it's a Nintendo game, the resale value drops so damn fast nowadays it's not even worth it. Besides, I buy most of my games digitally when they go on sale at sub-$20 prices. One of the great things about having such a ridiculous backlog is that I have plenty of other things to play while I wait for price drops lol.
  12. Ok cool. To be honest, gaming wouldn't be the computer's primary use. I would mainly use it for photo and video editing and some web development. But if I'm gonna build a PC, might as well do it right!
  13. Wildlands had some pretty good post-launch support. Fallen Ghosts was kind of a preview of what they were trying to do with Breakpoint. It was all single-player stuff. Breakpoint hasn't had any notable post-launch DLC. Don't bother with the season pass as the game practically dead. The raid was a free update but everything else was lootbox type shit that you could easily do without. As of right now I don't even know if they've updated with the A.I. teammates they promised. If you're looking to get one or the other, go with Wildlands. It was just a better game overall. You can easily get ten bucks worth of enjoyment out of it.
  14. Wildlands is definitely worth it. It was a great game that got better after launch. There are some annoying things about it, like infinitely respawning attack choppers if you reach infamy level 5, but there's no consequence for dying so just let them kill you and it all goes away lol. Breakpoint isn't as good, but it has its moments. I put over 100 hours into each. The problem with Breakpoint was that it was in pretty rough shape when it launched and it was obvious they changed direction mid-development as there were things in the game that had no purpose. They spent all their post-launch energy on un-breaking the game that they didn't really get to improve it. I think they've now just quietly swept it under the rug.
  15. Ya know that brings up an interesting question... Will my Xbox Series X be considered "another xbox" or will I be able to have both my Xbox One and my Series X labeled as my "home console?" Right now I have my X1X in my computer room and my og XBO in the living room. I have the og XBO set as my home console so that my wife can play the occasional game and use stuff like Netflix without having to sign up my profile. I never play outside of my profile on the X1X so it's never a problem. But I do plan on getting a Series X so that's gonna leave my og Xbox completely useless. I suppose I could just leave everything as it is and just sign in to the Series X the same way I do the X1X...
  16. I got Mafia II through GWG on 360 but I have never played it, or the other two. I might get the trilogy pack and just consider Mafia II DE kind of a bonus. I guess technically it's not double dipping if I never paid money for it in the first place.
  17. Well at least the woman survived. Can't even murder/suicide correctly. Loser.
  18. So I just came to the PC board to ask about new processors. I'm thinking about building my first PC if over a decade, and a lot of shit's changed since then. So AMD is the way to go now, I'm assuming.
  19. If they could make the Serious Sam game with Doom 2016 / Eternal style combat, I would be all like, 1000% down with this. ...but every SS game I've ever played devolved into just kiting all over the arena running backwards until the enemies run into my line of fire.
  20. Also.. is it sad that I have to weigh the worth of a video game vs the double cheeseburger I can get instead? Cuz I mean.. it's a pretty delicious cheeseburger.
  21. I've never played Anthem, but it's on sale on Xbox Live for about 9 bucks. I know that EA/Bioware are kinda "reinventing" the game, even though they only have a handful of people working on it and have no timetable as to when/if it might ever see the light of day. I'm wondering if it might be worth picking it up for $9 now and maybe just sitting on it until whenever they re-release it, thus avoiding whatever "new game" price they slap on it. But then there's always the chance that it might never come out, or that it might re-launch as a Free-to-play game a la Destiny 2, in which case I might be out nine bucks. Thoughts?
