I was actually kind of excited, but if theyre not touching the original graphics then i can assume theyre not tweaking the level design either. Some of those areas were just awful in their layout. This is the exact type of game i would welcome a ground-up remake for, but i just can't accept an up-res'd port.

Yeah they dont really need to split the development between two separate dashboards just because. I get that it won't feel quite as "new" without that disparity, but it's really not that big of a deal. In the very least it will mean that we aren't going backwards as far as features go.

I'll usually pair up games I don't really need to hear with youtube videos I don't really need to see. That way I can play and listen to two different things. I usually find things like racing games or Elder Scrolls Online lend themselves really well to it.

It needs to have straight up Rogue Squadron / Crimson Skies arcade controls, none of that wonky quasi-simulation shit that was in Battlefront II.

My first thought when I saw it was that it was the ugly lovechild of Fortnite and Rocket League.

There was a brief flash of the Umbrella symbol, though I think by now it's more of a macguffin than anything. But I'll be honest.. after the past few RE games and the Revelations series introducing all these generic evil corporations and shadow agencies with these stupid fucking names, I'll be happier than a pig in shit if they just go back it being Umbrella.

It really is amazing how full of shit some of these Youtubers are when talking about the aesthetics of the consoles. Last month it was "Oh I really like the simplistic, low key approach of the Xbox Series X. Because let's be honest, you want to play the games right, you're not gonna sit and stare at the console all day, it's meant to blend in with your other devices." Same Youtubers after PS5 reveal: "OMG it's so sleek and futuristic and sexy! This is a box I can show off on my entertainment center! It looks so cool! It's not like the Series X that was boring and uninspired." Honestly I don't think I've ever given two shits what the consoles looked like, ever. I'm looking at my shelf right now of all my old consoles and they're all pretty ridiculous looking. The only thing I think when I look at that PS5 is "I'm gonna have to find a way to clean that f'ing thing."

MS's show last month was over-hyped, but many are dismissing it without acknowledging that it wasnt MS's showcase. After their show next month we'll be able to more accurately compare the two.

all I know is that, like virtually EVERY Playstation console design, it's gonna be a fuckin' nightmare to dust.

Last Horizon: Dawn of Us 2

I never really played much of Destiny 2 but that whole video got me interested. Played through the intro and into the first mission. I think i'm done. I dont think i have it in me to do the whole light level / engram thing again.

Is that Bard's Tale the ARPG? Because i thought the classic Bard's Tales and Bard's Tale IV were already on there?

It's supposed to be cumulative, but what i'd do is turn off auto-renew before adding the three months, just to be sure.

Yeah, you'll get signed out, BUT you dont have to actively be signed in your home console for any content to be played/viewed. So just turn off automatic sign-in on that box (or set auto sign-in to a different profile)

That's a similar setup to what I have. When I got my X1X, I moved the XBO into the living room to use as a media box and for the wife to play some games. Since it's my home box, it doesn't matter who's logged into it. Since I'll never NOT be logged into my account when playing, I've been using the X1X in my computer room with no problems. Yes, you do lose access to it when the internet goes down, and yeah, it's annoying. But honestly it's only happened maybe once or twice in the few years I've had this setup. The real question is gonna be when the Series X releases. Will I be able to have both my XBO and the Series X set as "home" consoles?
