  1. Yeah, you'll get signed out, BUT you dont have to actively be signed in your home console for any content to be played/viewed. So just turn off automatic sign-in on that box (or set auto sign-in to a different profile)
  2. That's a similar setup to what I have. When I got my X1X, I moved the XBO into the living room to use as a media box and for the wife to play some games. Since it's my home box, it doesn't matter who's logged into it. Since I'll never NOT be logged into my account when playing, I've been using the X1X in my computer room with no problems. Yes, you do lose access to it when the internet goes down, and yeah, it's annoying. But honestly it's only happened maybe once or twice in the few years I've had this setup. The real question is gonna be when the Series X releases. Will I be able to have both my XBO and the Series X set as "home" consoles?
  3. I leave it on braking only, but still, it's on lol... to be fair, in the past racing games either A) didn't require you to be absolutely perfect with your braking in order to take a turn, or B) Included visual cues on the road such as signage, skid marks on the road, etc. that let you know when you were supposed to start braking. Even Driveclub, which I didn't really care for, had the green/yellow/red flags on the curve that let you know how tight it was. I dont' have the time or the willpower to devote to learning every turn of every track along with the unique handling of every car. Just give me the ***damn racing line lol.
  4. I've been tempted to pick up GT Sport while its on sale, but I'm curious what the track differences are between it and FM7. Does anybody have both games that can chime in and let me know how many tracks are unique to GT Sport? It no doubt has a lot of official licensed tracks, but honestly if I just want to race Brands Hatch and Laguna Seca over and over, I can do it on FM7. The last GT game I played was GT3 A-Spec for PS2, but I do remember it having fictional tracks that were quite good. I'm actually hoping it has more fictional tracks than official ones.
  5. I might just go to the local tech hardware store and buy a few generic ones, just to see if I have any better luck with them. At least if they crap out on my I won't have spent the retail markup or the Monster tax. I might even wrap some masking tape around them and date them, just to see how long they actually last. If I was a richer man I'd just throw all of them in the garbage and start from scratch. UPDATE: You know what? I just grabbed the latest offender HDMI and went to toss it and I think I've noticed a commonality between the ones that have crapped out on me, and its that I think most of them have had those adapter boxes on them. You know, the cylindrical thing that's right next to the plug. I wonder if those are what's causing the cords to go bad. I just checked the cord I threw in the closet cuz it was giving me problems and it also has one of those boxes.
  6. I would honestly rather not have to buy another Switch lol. If they did it with my existing Switch, then sure, I'm down, as long as I don't have to pay an additional Nintendo Tax.
  7. Well thats kinda what i was thinking. Imagine if there was a Switch-like device, could dock to a tv or do handheld, that would stream Xcloud specifically, and cost less than a hundred bucks (supplemented of course by a XBL Ultimate sub.) I'd buy one.
  8. Between my Xbox One, PS4, Swtich, and a few other devices here or there, I'd say I've gone through about six or seven HDMI cables over the past two years or so. It starts with the green fuzz, then the image blinking in and out constantly, before I start having to move the cable around just to get anything at all. I can't say it's the same brand of HDMI, because they've all just been whatever cables come with stuff, but honestly I'm getting tired of going through these damn things. Is there a good HDMI I can get that's gonna last? I don't recall ever having this problem with older HDMI's, but ever since 2.0 came along, they've just sucked.
  9. Could be a handheld streaming device built specifically for XCloud. Without the need to have a ton of processing power under the hood, they could easily keep the costs down to sub-$100 and have a decent battery life. It could even double as a remote play device for your own Xbox, should you want to play it while out on the back porch or by the pool. The only caviat would be that you'd need an internet connection wherever you are, unless they wanted to wrangle with the whole 5G provider bs.
  10. They mad that the dude in his basement got it running at 60 fps and they couldnt. But with the POWER OF THE PS5, now you can have frame pacing issues in 8k.
  11. I hear they're tweaking the controls to make it more accessible. I've lost the desire to master sim controls in my older age, so for me if they could at least give the feel of a sim-cade like GRID when the assists are turned on, it would be great news for me. I actually really loved the GRID reboot, but the game was just too bare-bones, especially when you compare it to the original GRID which had a story mode complete with cutscenes. I miss racing games with story modes that aren't named NFS.
  12. I'm really trying to get into RDR2.. but holy fuck is it on rails for a long time. I just want to get out in the world and go hunting and riding my horse around. I don't give a shit about Dutch or his gang lol.
  13. Gone Home was one of those indie darlings that got praised for its "powerful message." They forgot to mention it was a "'powerful message" wrapped in a shitty game. I also found the story to be extremely underwhelming. It's like they took friend's facebook status update and made me wander through an entire house for a few hours just to tell me what literally could've been said in like, three sentences. Coincidentally, Tacoma was also a game with a shitty story that was also extremely underwhelming and it was done by the same development team. They should really consider making their next "game" a five minute youtube video instead and save everybody a bunch of time.
  14. Ryan McCaffrey's Unfiltered interviews on IGN are usually pretty good. He asks good questions.
  15. Would rather see a new one, but if they give it enough of an upgrade i may double-dip. It was fun enough for what it was, and honestly there's a bit of a lack of adventure games like that nowadays.
  16. This game needs to be on Game Pass. I want to play it just to see how much of a train wreck it is. I can't help but wonder if MS was already thinking about it but then was like, "nah."
  17. This game has been surrounded by so much controversy that I literally can't believe a word anyone says. People will either be quick to defend it, or quick to trash it. The best indication won't come for at least a few months once everyone has settled down and I can get an honest post-mortem opinion on it.
  18. I totally think Zombi U (the wii u version specifically) was way underrated. Its weird and clunky at first, but once you understand the way the game works it was actually pretty brilliant.
  19. Does Elder Scrolls Online count? I mean, sure its been fairly successful and has a pretty big player base, but you wouldnt know it by asking anyone lol. I've probably put a good 700 hours into it over the past six years or so. Also Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It just wasnt a good game, but for some reason it clicked for me.
