  1. Their original plan was to do a hybrid streaming console, iirc. It would have enough horsepower to handle some things locally to cut down on latency, while xCloud did the heavy lifting. I can see them coming out with a Anaconda-lite that's just a GamePass/xCloud box.
  2. I can't really argue one way or the other. I've been playing Fallout 4 modded to hell for so long i don't even remember what the vanilla game is like anymore.
  3. Well considering the electric jeeps all but fucked them when the power went out, maybe this is intentional?
  4. TF2 campaign is short, but sweet. It had some really cool gameplay twists that I'm not going to spoil. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet should. You can blow through it in a weekend.
  5. Wade might be the outlier. I've been playing it for a bit and they tried to go the Dark Souls route. It's not bad, but if you were a fan of the first two games, you might feel a little off-put. I don't personally care for "Souls-likes" so I do feel a little bit like they forgot their fanbase on this one.
  6. I discovered that tge vast majority of games i replay are linear ones. Games like Halo, Wolfenstein, Mario, etc. I usually spend enough time in open world games to do as much as i can the first time through and have no desire to play it again. I've played through old Zeldas multiple times but one time through Breath of the Wild would be enough.
  7. As others have said, "shorter than Witcher 3" isn't actually saying much, since Witcher 3 is fuckin gigantic Cyberpunk could be a 90-hour game and still be "shorter."
  8. No kidding! Lost Legacy was really good, I... wait... shit, I forgot I'm a straight white male, I'm not supposed to like things with strong female leads.
  9. Yeah, that's why I was trying to wrap it up. But I hit a point where I literally don't think I can continue solo. There's a boss battle that requires you to shoot targets on four pillars while the creature is recharging, but it's a very tight window and the targets are small. I managed to shoot them once, but then the creature shoots these blue orbs at you that does a ton of damage, and while you're staring at them up in the sky, there are mummies on the ground chasing you. The game is obviously designed with multiplayer in mind, but I was managing on my own up till this point. It's obvious they intend for two people to shoot the pillars and one to shoot the orbs while the other is taking care of the mummies. They either didn't test it solo or they assumed nobody would play it that far (which, according to my rare achievements, they were right.)
  10. IGN's preview claims it's closer to the first Darksiders as opposed to a Diablo clone. Also, Darksiders III is on Game Pass. It plays nothing like the first two, and a somewhat punishing boss fight in the first five minutes of the game almost had me saying "fuck this game" before it even started.
  11. Should I do an announcement? I'm not moving to Mixer, I've always been there, you've just never seen me. Like that guy that lives in the patch of trees behind the walmart.
  12. Until Dawn is kind of a head scratcher. I've seen that game on multiple flash sales for $6 or less.
  13. I'm pretty sure Capcom unofficially confirmed this a while back. Not so much as in a "Yes, we're making it" but more of a "we'd be stupid not to" kinda statement. So, I really enjoyed RE3 back in the day... BUT the reason it had so much replayability was because of the Mercenaries mode. You could earn money to buy story mode cheats like infinite ammo and the rocket launcher. It made playing the game through multiple times much more fun. Though microtransactions pretty much killed the idea of that ever happening again, it would be nice if they included a Mercenaries mode like what RE:Revelations 2 had. That one was great. None of that timed horde mode shit that they put in RE5 and RE6.
  14. I know this is more telling of my over-indulgence on my video game hobby than anything else, but damn these sales are starting to just rehash the same titles over and over again. It's getting hard to find things I either don't already own or haven't already played. I have an epic eyeroll that I've reserved specifically for Just Cause 3, that game's been on so many Microsoft weekly sales that it's almost a running gag. I think I'm ready for the next generation. I'm just tired of looking at the same games, I'm ready for something new (even though with both consoles being BC we'll still be seeing the same games on sale).
  15. This is true. I got mine at a yard sale for $2. Guy didn't think it was worth anything because the seat had a tear in it. It was the best deal I've seen since the recliner I got from the dumpster in college.
