About Me

  1. Just wondering what if any power bank you recommend to charge your Steam Deck on the go? The one I have isn't cutting it but it's 5 years old now so what's working well for you all? I did find out that the power plug from my OG switch charges my Deck nicely. I need a good one under 80 bucks would be nice but I'm known to spend for a quality piece of tech here and there....
  2. I definitely want to hop on RE4 VR but what other VR games should I make sure not to miss? I have never tried VR in any capacity, so there’s probably a lot of ground to cover.
  3. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09J4PPFK2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_NX929EH6APGG3EXTKHZB I usually use LED strips on the back of my TVs and just keep it at 65k white to help with eye strain (also noticed it improves the appearance of contrast and colors, IMO). Ran across this and it seems neat. Trying to justify the extra $80-90 over normal LED strips
  4. I need to buy 3 12-15 ' cables that are Certified True HDMI 2.1 for my upcoming 83" LGC1 coming to be installed on NOV 27th. They have to capable of running a 3090, and ps5 and XSX {I don't own a 3090 or PS5 yet}. There all so misleading and I'm sure many of you here have already made these purchases. Sucks because I know 3m long won't cut it, and even 12' will tight'ish Anyone here recommend some great cables that won't break the bank but will future proof this TV?? I need to order these today to get them here in time. so afraid of getting ones that say "True and or Certified, etc and having issues down the line. I will have an Xbox Series X to test them with, so what do you think? I'M EYEING THESE HERE but wasn't wanting 16' but longer is better than short, inputs are all the way on one side of TV, then about 3 feet just to wall behind tv, 6' down and have some extra to reach both end of my entertainment center
  5. This 325" display costs as much as a new helicopter We all know @Mr.Vic20 games on TVs rather than monitors. I've heard a rumour he has one of these on pre-order.
  6. Best Buy has the Xbox one on sale for $69 today. I know a few people here have one, what are your thoughts on it?
  7. What headset does everyone use for PC and/or console gaming? I've been using the original PS Gold Headphones for 6 years now. I dont dislike them but they did get uncomfortable after a couple hours of play. When I pre-ordered the PS5 I also bought the Pulse 3D headset. After thinking about it I might not open the Pulse 3D and get another headset. Right now I'm leaning towards the SteelSeries Arctis 7X because it works with PC, PS5, and Xbox but I could be convinced to pay a little more for something a little better. I may do the Arctis 9s. Razor Blackshark V2 Pros. Wireless is a requirement for me and my budget is between $100 and $200. Right now mostly game on PS5 and PC so Xbox compatibility isn't a requirement. If I pick up a Series X I might just get dedicated headphones for that.

  9. Max price about 350$. The woman asked what I wanted for xmas, and since my chair in my gaming room is cheap garbage, I want a new one. I want one thats big, strong, and fairly comfortable. Nothing that reclines, preferably. thanks in advance!
  10. Does anyone know how to do this using a 3.5mm cord? Every time I try it only plays audio from the left headphone. Gone in and turned the Mono setting on/off and messed around with the fader. Not sure if it just isn’t possible or if I’m missing some setting somewhere. I know I can go buy an adapter for the USB stick so it’ll be wireless but I don’t want all that crap in my pocket haha.

  13. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/now-xbox-faces-lawsuit-over-drifting-controllers/ I am on the opposite side here, I have nothing but good luck with MS controllers and gone thru 4 PS controllers in 2 years.

  15. I don't need anything super exorbitant. Just did a speed test and I got 202 up, 11 down if that helps. My current router is hot garbage.
  16. https://www.cnet.com/google-amp/news/samsung-tv-the-wall-biggest-screen-weve-ever-seen/ Will he be buying just one? Or one for each room?
  17. I have done some Googling myself but haven't had time to scan all of the ads as I usually do. If anyone sees or hears about any good deals on gaming chairs for this upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday, please let me know. Thanks!
  18. This is mouse I have now. I have had this bad boy since 2012 or 13. Has lasted a good while, but the right click is fucked and has been since mid-2018. Pressing it works fine, but it won't stay held down. Like, when aiming down a gun's sights in a game, you usually hold down right click and hold and you stay zoomed in. Well, when I hold down right click I keep zooming in and out like I am mashing right click. In REmake2 I had to use someone else's mouse because of this issue. Even in MMO's this causes issues as I hold down right and left to move and my character now stutter steps when I do this. Now is a good time for me to get a new mouse. I have decided on two mice, but I am having a really hard time deciding. This is the first mouse I have looked at. The UtechSmart Venus This is the second mouse I have looked at. The Logitech G600. Now, the Logitech is a more trusted brand, but it has a slightly lower rating on amazon when compared to the Venus and the Venus has more reviews. The Logitech also has a second right click that you use your ring finger to press. Well, I use a fingertip grip on my mouse and that might cause an issue. The Venus basically seems like the way to go, but I worry about the the high reviews being faked due to the mouse being "off-brand". The mice all appear to be roughly the same size, but the Venus is heavier and I like that. Reviews say the Logitech buttons are better, and that the Venus buttons are stiff. The Venus scroll wheel might not be that great either. The Logitech is also all the same material while the Venus has that glossy bit which is weird. When it comes down to, the Venus seems more up my alley, but I trust the Logitech brand more. That second right click worries me tho because of my grip. I am pretty sure I already have a preference between the two so maybe this pointless of me to post but whatever.
  19. I’m looking for a controller that will work with my iPad mini and can also mount the iPad on it for the Steam streaming app. I bought this over the weekend: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MR4VLJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nbX.CbV1C9A6T because “oh, hey, my iPad will be like a Switch!”, but, jfc, the analog sticks don’t click so I’m missing L3 and R3 in games, plus, the right analog stick is absolute trash for accuracy with a really odd dead zone (and this thing ranks as one of the best iOS controllers ) and reminds me a lot of the awful nVidia Shield controller analog sticks. So, is there anything out there that’s as good as a PS4 or Xbone controller? I do have a Nyko Smart Clip for my Xbone controllers that I could use when streaming over wifi, but was hoping for something more similar to that Game Vice controller, but with good analog sticks and all the inputs.
  20. Sabrent Rocket Pro 1TB NVMe USB 3.1 External Aluminum SSD (SB-1TB-NVME) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N14MM96/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_s6F3CbZTANGDA Saw this on slickdeals front page. with a coupon code, it comes down to 148. This seemed like a pretty good deal considering a sata SSD is around 110 and another 20ish for a decent enclosure. Im out of the loop on SSD technology so really NFI if this overkill or worthwhile.
  21. Up until now, I have been using my Switch without an SD card, and it has not really been a problem. I generally only keep the 3-4 games I currently play downloaded, and redownload stuff as and when I feel like a change. My library is getting quite big now though, so I think it's time to get a micro SD card. Do the read \ write speeds of these really matter, or should I just buy the biggest one I can afford regardless of speed?
  22. I don’t think I’d want to spend over 150. And I also don’t care about chatting with people since I don’t play online games.
  23. LG’s 2019 OLED TVs Come with Variable Refresh Rate, Automatic Low Latency Mode and 4K@120FPS Through HDMI 2.1
  24. My wife wants to get rid of the reclining couch for a normal, smaller, more decorative one. A decision I've heartily declined for a few years now because I do all my gaming from our couch but she's recently employing the tactic of trying to get me to game from a gaming chair instead. How are they? Worth about 200+$? Are there diminishing returns on comfort above a certain price? I've seen some options for built in mouse and keyboard trays which would be cool for me because I game on my PC and consoles all through my TV.
