I had to get an oil change for my car and decided to wait it out in their lounge. Brought my glasses with my new iPhone 15 I was able to watch my digital copy of Across the Spider-Verse on my Rokid Max for the 40-45min I waited. The picture looked stunning even with the protective cover/shades removed. I wish I could take more advantage of these glasses more often, cause they rock.

Television Marvel’s Echo trailer (January 9th 2024)
silentbob replied to Spork3245's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
So I finished the series tonight, and it was ok on its own I guess. I was happier seeing Graham Greene on tv again. Sorry I’m way behind on Reservation Dogs (if he was on that) but I haven’t seen him really since The Red Green Show ending. For those who didn’t watch, he played Edgar the Explosives “Expert” (apparently he’s done a lot since then and own some of his latest stuff) Anyways it was a cool native story that is nice to see represented for the public, and I guess Maya is like light version of The Crow. Loved Kingpin in any scene he was in because, well ice cream man. Good cast, ok story but seems like the “spotlight” signature means she’s one and done. Like what they are setting up for the DareDevil series arc I assume. Which really helps setup the rumour that Spider-Man 4 will be a team up of the two heroes. Anyways, it was good but nothing I felt like binging minus the last 2 episodes. 3/5 -
We should at least try and get you on Amazon’s “Jury Duty” to fuck around with someone for a bit. As someone who once had to wait 5hrs for my traffic incident recollection of being rear ended at +50KM/H (no, you do the mph) So because she hit me so hard, she was charged under the highways act of laws while driving on a public road. I had to take the day off work and everything, only to be told that they agreed to a plea deal.

Cicadapocalypse Returns To The US

Found a few of their shells left attached all over our back fence. Their were loud all from mid August all the way until the beginning of October. Barely heard a thing out of them the year before that -
Americans can no longer afford vehicles
silentbob replied to CitizenVectron's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
My first car was Chrysler Cirrus and was a car that guzzled gas, low to the ground and bought used. I had issues with the car and spent the same amount in repairs as the car itself. From there I always went new because I’m covered for 5 years. Last car actually paid me money because the trade ins were huge. So I’ve gone Ford Escape ‘13, ‘16, ‘20 and currently in a Bronco Sport ‘22. I don’t think I could go a car again because I’ve been rear ended 2-3 time in my past cars. One hit probably would have gone over me if I were in my first car, but all happened in my Escapes . . . sadly different Escapes. -

Television TED prequel series coming to Peacock Jan 11th
silentbob replied to silentbob's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
Did they just drop them all on Peacock, or is it weekly? If you can binge then you are lucky as we have commercials and weekly release on Showcase Canada (not that SHOWCASE ch) First episode had some great moments but it was also a bit rough. I think an hour long show might be hard to write for episode wise. As the first episode was again rough and felt like it was trying to find a solid footing between the Ted movie and being its own thing. I like the addition of the cousin but they really changed the parents up from the film. Look forward to the next episode, and thank god we don’t censor anything here. Imagine if we did, I’d be complaining about a ringing in my ear by the end from all the bleeping. -
SHADOW 3/5 I bought the 4K disc based on word of mouth. Same director as House of the Flying Daggers and Hero, but don’t expect much fighting here. We get some but no where near the amount in the previous flicks. We get a beautiful looking flick that lives in the blacks and whites throughout the movie with only blood and skin tone being pretty much the only colours that stand out in the film. The film thankfully has a very immersive Atmos track with a consistent overhead rain/thunder sound throughout. Although I did find the English subtitles really flyby fast with this flick. So beautiful sounding/looking disc but don’t expect the same movie action like from his previous films.

TETRIS 4.5/5 I only have a few days left of my AppleTV and I had been wanting to see this since the trailer came out. I gotta say that I’m sure as hell happy I saw this before I lose it on the 20th. The story is true and it’s completely insane how Tetris was turned into the launch game for the GameBoy. The cast is great, movie is funny/intense at times and boy are there a bunch of great techno versions of that Tetris theme. I haven’t seen many movies this year but this was pretty awesome.

Like I’ve said with my long haulers and my just recent Covid battle, my pot saves me. My cousin was by for a visit and she had said the same and from a few folks she got trying her grown stuff. My first battle was nothing more than a headache, but the last one was rougher for only a few days or reel shitty sick feeling. I’m still battling something and my pot is my relief right now, because my nausea long hauler feeling has been brutal. Same for my mom and sister right now for the nausea. My cousins is so bad at times that she’s been prescribed chemo pills, and I tried one before work the other day and worked as described. When we had the alpha strain in 2020, I also made pot pills with decarbed weed and a coffee grinder. My cousin and her husband’s (who were living with us at the time) lungs were so damaged that they couldn’t vape when they were battling this. Found out about these pills about 2 weeks into the battle, and was their only relief they were getting from any medication at the time. so here’s hoping Biden see/reads this and does the right thing before it’s too late to do so.

I was really hoping the Jays would have apologized to Stroman for trading him initially and would have loved to had him back in the renovated stadium. Now he’s gonna be the BANE!!! of the Jays when we face him 3-5 times this year.

***NSFW TRAILER*** I kinda like what I’m seeing here. I haven’t seen the last Scream film but I saw Ready or Not. It was slow, like the directing, but it was so worth it for that ending alone.
