  1. Yikes. The candid set photos of Hamilton looked way better than this.
  2. I never understood the quibbles with the fight destroying the city. Kal-El is still discovering who he is and how powerful he is. Michael Shannon's Zod is my favorite villain in the current comic book movie universes. He's my favorite because he did an incredible acting job and I thought he was relatable. Would I destroy an ant colony to save my species? Yeah, probably. And the Krypton scene at the beginning is awesome. And Cavill is a great Superman. And the soundtrack is epic. I always loved Man of Steel.
  3. This movie has two huge things going for it: a character/villain I've always loved, and an actor whose work I love. Yet I could not be any more lukewarm on this movie.
  4. The mormonism certainly is a part of it but it's definitely not all of it. It just never appealed to me. While other forbidden things were enticing and the serpent beguiled me, and I did partake.
  5. I'd like to try AMC's service but we only have Cinemark and a local chain where I live.
  6. Anybody here besides me who has never had a drop of alcohol in their life?
  7. Doesn't need its own thread but depressing nonetheless. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/7/26/17613844/racial-diversity-poll-twitter-white-people
  8. With all the extra time and money put into this weapons platform it should fucking be invisible.
  9. Seems like the pocket was always there. Just pressed up against his shirt.
  10. The Browns My favorite bits: Amazing. Fucking amazing. I wouldn’t trust the Bengals to make a fucking mustard sandwich properly, and yet here are the analytics masters of the Browns blindly entrusting their fate to Mike Brown’s fax machine. Why, it’s almost like the Haslam family is instinctively careless with formal documentation! Did I mention that the Niners got Jimmy Garoppolo for just a second rounder?
  11. Why talk with the Taliban without Afghan officials present? The US is not going to let them back into power so what's the point?
