weird seeing the cops side with the racists

Were the Proud Boys engaging in violence as well or was it only antifa people engaging in violence? The cops may have gone over the top in handling things, but if only one group was trying to make things violent then, yeah, the cops are going to protect the other group.

Now if there was violence and the cops just chose to protect the Proud Boys, then yeah, that's bullshit.

Off duty cop says he had to kill him because he was a threat, police department says it was an attempted robbery and the man was pretending to have a gun.  Video surveillance of the scene shows the 2 men arguing when the off-duty cop pulls out a gun and shoots him in the face, then plants a knife on him afterward, only to pick it back up shortly after.  Cop was also suspended for 36 whole days when he punched his girlfriend.

Truly such bravery needs rewarding.

The video, without audio and published first by NBC New York, shows 21-year-old Santana approaching Blake from behind. A conversation ensues and appears to grow more tense. Blake, 40, backs up, pulls out a handgun and positions himself in a shooting stance.

NBC’s video freezes as Santana braces for a shot, leaving out the two shots that Blake fires at Santana, striking him once in the chin.

Blake paces back and forth, then appears to pat down Santana’s pockets. He then appears to take a sheathed knife from his own back pocket, the New York Times reported, slides it from its sheath and drops it next to Santana’s crumpled body. He then pauses for a moment and retrieves the knife, the video shows.

Authorities told reporters Thursday that Santana pretended to have a gun and that he tried to rob Blake, the Times reported. But on Friday, police officials told the paper that Blake said there was a threat with a gun but did not mention attempted robbery.

It is not clear where the discrepancy arose, and the department did not respond to requests for comment about it.

On Friday, Police Commissioner James O’Neil said in a news conference that no firearm had been recovered. The video does not appear to show Santana reaching for or pretending to reach for a weapon.

Blake was previously involved in a violent incident involving a woman. He was suspended for 36 days and placed on dismissal probation in September 2017 after he was charged in connection with punching his girlfriend in the face, the New York Daily News reported.

Homeless man lands a job at McDonald's thanks to a police officer's good deed

We know you like to suck the police off and all and it's great that there are still good cops, but their shitty image won't be rehabilitated until they stop shooting unarmed people, stop acting like assholes in general, and the "good" cops stop covering up the crimes of the "bad" ones, due to some "brotherhood" mentality.

Whoa there pretty lady :-)  I have relatives in Minnesota who like to play this game.  It’s called “post to B’s facebook timeline anytime a black person commits a heinous crime so we can justify our position that black people are dangerous and welfare usurpers”.

I play this game where I react to their negative with positive stories like a young black person doing something awesome.

I have always been pretty even handed in my approach to issues in policing on these boards in the same way.   We always have a lot of threads tearing down police, but very few actually acknowledging them for going beyond the scope of their duties....and that’s something that a lot of Trumpers do when they want to make their point.   They highlight the negative of Obama’s presidency while never acknowledging the good.

So this is the “Offcial thread of hero cop valor”. Is it really that bad posting both the good and the bad or are we just straight anti police now.

Also..their image won’t be rehabbed until they get more educated liberals to join their ranks to even out group think.
