  1. Literally within 10 minutes of waking up I banged my right index finger on a door and split the nail all the way up. I then proceeded to not notice and then catch it, fearing it half way off. That part was shit. I then received a text from my mum about 2 hours ago that the inheritance money from my grandmother that died in September has been transferred across. This has put my family in the position where we are able to, if we want to (and it’s looking likely as our lovely 1930s house is needed more and more work doing to it), will be able to quite happily next summer. The nail still hurts mind.
  2. I’m banking on the UK company CEX dropping it that low. Both Odyssey and BotW made it to about £35 and Links Awakening to £28 so there’s a chance!
  3. This is such a ‘wait till it’s £30’ experience for me. However, I’m looking forward to, in pretty much one spree, picking up Wonder, this, 1000 Year Door and some new Joycons as the Hori Split ones just aren’t quite right.
  4. When it’s raining I sometimes make my class watch Bluey despite being too old for it. Game looks..shit though
  5. How exactly does an open world NFT work? Will there be sailing?
  6. That’s really shit and I’m sorry to hear it.
  7. No, but I used to always prefer the unofficial N64 and GameCube magazines as the reviews and articles felt like a fair reflection compared with the official ones.
  8. I’ve been trying to find a running app that is AI driven that, based on a set start/finish point and a few bits of criteria (elevation, terrain) creates a procedural running route that integrates with google maps. Basically, I want to find new running routes that I can start and finish at my front door that are sometimes challenging, sometimes a bit more for coasting - but I haven’t found anything close - especially as I don’t want to faff around with manually setting points on a map.
  9. So Doom Eternal continues to be quality and to celebrate that I tried out God of War: Ragnarok which is also great. The only thing that felt off over the first hour I’ve played has been Odin’s voice.
  10. Everyone bar me is away until Sunday so I’ve decided to give Doom Eternal a go. It’s not exactly a game I can sit and play for hours, just because of the loop and intensity, but for 30 minute bursts, it really hits the spot. Edit: playing this morning, the loop has changed and now a blend of puzzles and then murder - which feels like a change from Doom 2018 - though it’s been a while since I played it.
  11. I went through a phase where I really wanted to buy a series of ever drive cartridges for my various consoles, but was talked down from that ledge by my wife.
  12. In an ideal world, the devil in me, but after being woken up at 3.30am and having a day of teaching, kind of hoping to fall asleep on the sofa with Scrubs on.
  13. We’ve been living that life for the last week. I’m lucky that I don’t hate the fact it’s constantly dark.
  14. So I’ve bought the following for my wife: Kingdom Come: Deliverance (she’s out about 70 hours into the base game via PS+, but they’ve removed that and replaced it with the GotY version which doesn’t transfer saves) so she can play the DLC, Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me (for us), and also bought her Red Dead Redemption for the Switch. With that in mind, when she gets into RDR, I can either go full noise of Elden Ring, GoW:R or CP2077…
  15. I stand by Great British Menu is the greatest cooking programme ever made and completely eclipses Bake Off. For other programmes you may like of this is your jam, try Come Dine with Me or if you love wholesome and don’t mind crying, The Repair Shop.
  16. This is just from memory, but they mentioned a big push about linking accounts and possibly purchases in a more meaningful way. Knowing that, it’ll probably BC in a digital capacity, but anything physical won’t work.
  17. I re-downloaded Rocket League and played a round online. I’m still not as good as I was, but it’s still a great game and one I always miss from my list of top 10/20 games of all time.
  18. We’ve been watching Boiling Point and if you’re a fan of tense, we’ll-written, British drama, you’ll love this.
  19. In an ideal world, everyone, but me, would be held back so I could be de facto king.
