  1. Let’s get some Zelda HD collections, a surprise Metroid Prime 2 announcement, few random ports…live the remaster dream!
  2. Sure you know what you’re doing RE: UK, but if you’ve got any questions, happy to help
  3. These comments and his approach summarises every bad leader I’ve seen. The trick is get out and blow the whistle as you leave.
  4. I’m been popping in and out of this thread for a few days and I still can’t think of an actual, good story. Was MGS3 good? Probably not? RE2 was actually serviceable when I really think about it… Despite being dumb, Gears of War 1 was a well told story. Really, the only true answer I can give is God of War.
  5. I have in the last through rugby, but never consistently. It’s something is definitely be interested in as I’ve utilised ice baths, ice showers and hot/cold for about a decade now.
  6. Life is 99% disappointment to 1% great - clearly you’re in the 99% times
  7. It’s been a bit of a frazzled weekend so not much gaming, though my wife had a monster Assassin’s Creed Valhalla session last night.
  8. He’s one of those people I have to separate the person from the body of work. Even though he was cleared, I’ll continue to do this for Kevin Spacey.
  9. So how long until this comes to PS5…two years? Surely they won’t be able to turn a profit based on Xbox, PC, and Gamepass sales?
  10. Nothing yet - but I do have GOW:R on my shelf so that may well get me when I play it!
  11. I’ve literally been putting off work for 6 weeks (well, I’ve been on holiday and parenting full time) so I need to get some lessons/bits sorted for next week - then my reward will either be Tears of the Kingdom or R&C:RA.
  12. Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Amongst Thieves I’ll give this an easy 8/10. It felt pretty much the same as every 80s or 90s fantasy adventure films but updated for the 2020’s. I’ll probably not watch it again, but if there’s a sequel, I’ll see it at the cinema.
  13. All this talk has encouraged me to fish out my PS4 disc to finally upgrade it for the PS5 (after I finish R&C:RA).
  14. The two games that stick out for me, playing them when both concepts were fresh were Journey, which is an obvious choice, but its blend of aesthetic, music,‘game-feel were great. My second choice, and the one that was more impactful for me was Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture. I hadn’t touched a walking sim before and this was just brilliant, mysterious story and the use of light and particles was stunning.
  15. I’ve started Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart and I’m really enjoying it. The gameplay hits well with me and the general aesthetic and scope is great. Hopefully it can maintain the momentum and not get a nod-game slump (but I’m doubtful).
  16. I mean, when it comes to houses in our area, it’s kinda fancy.
  17. Background, my daughter will be 3 in a few weeks. Background done! Did the bedtime routine tonight, bath, snack, teeth and story…then she got herself into bed, yawned and fell asleep within maybe 30 seconds? Lights were still on, hadn’t tucked her in, cuddly toys hadn’t been carefully positioned so they had equal share of the bed/cuddle… She isn’t unwell, did wake up early today (but not stupidly so for her) and had been on the warpath all day. It’s now 7.19m and I’ve cleaned the lounge and kitchen, eaten my dinner and I’m about to try out Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. I also checked on her a few minutes ago (after about an hour of being asleep), and she hasn’t even moved.
  18. I can add Spiderman: Miles Morales to that list. I feel like I’ve played quite a few games this year but apparently I just haven’t finished them?
  19. I downloaded it last night as it’s on PS+ - to then see it’s a 30 hour game. For some reason I was expecting something in the 10-12 hour range…
  20. This was purely based on some targeted advertising, but some jobs for teachers in Dubai and Australia appeared on some of my social media feeds. I love where I live and it has so much to offer - but looking at the job description, it’s my job now with more parent/child engagement, a higher salary (plus no tax in Dubai), free accommodation (so we could rent our house out for a fair whack) and the opportunity to see the world whilst my daughter it still small. We won’t do it (despite having family soon to be in Dubai) but wow, there’s a pull. How about your fine selves?
  21. Back on Miles Morales. It’s a good game, but games like this come across as gamified movies to me. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but there’s a reason why I’ll think about Tears of the Kingdom in 10 years time and mostly won’t remember I’ve played this. Update: so I finished the game. I think the brevity supports it (to the point where I could play this type of game in an episodic manner). It’s a good game, does it make me excited for Spiderman 2? Not really. But, if it comes to PS+, I’ll play it I’m sure.
  22. Along with a big old trip to the park, and some cartoon watching, I’ve been baking a cake with my daughter. My wife can’t eat dairy so whilst looking for something to go inside the cake, I came across an oat based double cream that can be whipped. Since when could an oat make whipped cream? But I’ll be fucked, it did and doesn’t taste horrendous- just leaves a bit of a silky mouth feel.
