Sony The opening of Uncharted 4 in first-person view
elbobo replied to Commissar SFLUFAN's topic in The Spawn Point
Naughty Dog are the absolute undisputed masters of the small animations in their characters that make them so believable, that little thing she does with her ear or hair at :58 is just so human -
The Terminator From the discussion in the thread about the latest terminator movie I decided to revisit this after at least 20 years. It still holds up, just a great 80s flick. The stop motion of the terminator skeleton and the robo-eye head is sketchy but the animatonric puppet still looks great today. The plot and characters do everything they need to and it all just clicks. 9/10

Since no scripts have been written yet when they actually get around to filming this Patrick Stewart will be 79 or maybe even 80 and despite the fact that he has done an amazing job of keeping himself in shape over the years there is no getting around the fact that he is straight up elderly at this point, returning him to the diplomatic role/moral rock that he was in the series vs the quasi-action hero he was in the movies is the absolute right move from both a practical standpoint and storytelling one.

Movies First official photo from the new Terminator movie

yes, I was drinking last night -
Avengers Infinity War This is a 2 hour 20 minute not counting credits movie with ZERO fat, complete collimation of 10 years of films and it all works. I have some issues with Thanos's overall plan and general comicbook movie bullshittery but that is par for the course with this type of movie. I was impressed. 8.5/10

1) T2>T1 T1 was a great scifi/action/horror movie it is no exaggeration at all to say T2 changed cinema, the use of CGI was unprecedented and absolutely mind blowing at the time and the practical effects and stunts are still hard to top even today. Helicopter work like this will NEVER be filmed in a US produced movie ever again, this is it the absolute apex of this type of stunt work 2) Mackenzie Davis deserves way better than this, she better be getting paid, if you haven't seen Halt and Catch Fire get on it -
Consumer Technology Panny OLED - The king has returned
elbobo replied to Spork3245's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
as someone who is using the last of the panny plasmas this is of interest to me but the lack of HDMI 2.1 means I have to wait for next years model and for it to actually be for sale in the US -
General Gaming How is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice?
elbobo replied to best3444's topic in The Spawn Point
the sound work is the best in any videogame, nothing comes close to those voices in her head. The combat is ok, the puzzles are a pain in the ass, have a walkthough video queued up. -
The Death of Stalin I need to read a book on the real version of these events because I'm guessing the movie isn't that far off. Some fun performances and I liked that everyone used their real accents. 7.5/10 Ready Player One I wonder what the ratio of live action to pure CGI scenes in this movie is, it felt like way more happens in the oasis than IRL. If you liked the book you will like the movie, it is just weaponized geek nostalgia with the climatic battle being a WMD. The rest is just kind of there. I will not lie I had the biggest smile when 6.5/10

Movies Godzilla: King of the Monsters Trailer

looks like Godzilla has been hitting the snack isle I bit to hard -
as I recall season 2 of psycho-pass was bad Shameless Season 1 I having a hard time deciding what to make of this series. Frank is probably the biggest piece of shit character I have ever seen on television surpassing the Always Sunny crew because they are played as over the top monsters while Frank Gallagher is a more plausible drunk waste of human flesh though as the season went on he got more over the top IMO. Fiona is great, Lip and Ian's relationship is good everything else is take it or leave it. This series has a rather shocking amount of under age sex scenes, lot of 15 and 16 year olds getting it on often times with adults. 6.5/10
