Boebert has the manners of a baboon
EternallDarkness replied to thewhyteboar's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
please, both parties claim they are looking out for families in their own ways and both are full of crap. One says 'family values' while acting as Bobert did. The other says looking out for the children while parents are getting thrown out of town council/school board meetings for reading offense passages from the books the schools are saying is some how appropriate for 3rd graders. -

oh I am not saying it isn't disgusting. The dude on the airplane with the porn had kids around not to mention we have Biden touching and sniffing little kids inappropriately in plain site. It's all sick. As for if I have a problem with calls for her to step down. Nope. But then honestly I think 90-95% of the people in Washington should be asked to step down if not just be thrown in jail. The twisted corruption in Washington is insane. Things that you or I would be jailed for don't even get a passing glance there. How are these civil servants who make 174 grand a year having 4 or 5 homes and networths in the 10s of millions? none of them take their oaths of office seriously. The only people the majority of them are looking out for are themselves. Pelosi announces she staying because we need to spread San Fran values? What the hell does that mean. So we've gone from Herbert Hoover's a chicken in every pot to what? A crackhead and a pile of crap on every street? And while I am ranting are we ever going to see the names of Epstein's visitor logs? Of course not. -

A politician acting in a deviant way? The hell you say! Is this any different than Clinton in the oral office John Conyers looking at playboy on a public flight, Katie Hill having the threeway with one of her subordinates, or that Penn. woman who did the livestreaming of her and her husband screwing and asked people to tip her campaign? If anyone is expecting moral behavior from these people or thinks any of them should be viewed as role models they are sadly mistaken. Remember it's called a swamp for a reason, and these are the various and sadly numerous swamp monsters. -
Books What Are You Reading or Listening To?

so I've heard. I've been well aware of Stephen's politics for ages now. And for the most part he's always bee decent about reigning them in to a degree, but lately he become more or more vocal. Trump absolutely broke the man. There are times his tweets have become nothing short of rants. I honestly hate to see it, not because the man isn't entitled to his opinion, but it's just horrible to seem him haunted for lack of a better word. At his age he shouldn't spend so much time focused on negativity and animosity. But that being said, I have no doubt I'll enjoy Holly. She's a fantastic character. I've rarely not enjoyed a King book, the man just knows how to tell a story. Writers having opposing views on any number of subjects never truly bothers me unless it's so heavy handed in delivery that it pulls me out of the story. Chuck Wendig has written some wonderful stuff over the years but at times he goes over the top heavy handed with his views and I hate it because he could still tell a fantastic story, put all this personal views in but just be a bit subtler about it and it would honestly make the stories better. I mean when you don't make your characters a charactecture, make them realistic but then in a subtle way show they are loathsome if that's how you feel. On a side note I'm a quarter of the way through Chuck's upcoming book Black River Orchard and it's quite good. Yes once again he's been a little heavy handed with his politics, though not horrible. Who knew a story focused on apples could be so engaging. I'm getting an almost Needful Things vibe from it so far. -

finally got a copy of All the Sinners Bleed, but not sure when I'll get to it. Actually started listening to an advanced copy of Henry Winkler's book Being Henry; The Fonz...and Beyond and I have to say I am loving it. What an interesting guy. -
