  1. This has actually become a sort of source of friction between my girlfriend and I. I understand the motivation since she's in med school going for psychiatry and all I guess but close to all she's interested in entertainment-wise are Netflix Shockumentaries, like that fucking awful story about gym bro murdering his wife and kids, and YouTubers dissecting police interrogations (this is apparently a popular thing I was gladly not aware of). I kind of watched some of it with her here and there at first but man, it says a lot when even I think this shit is tasteless, depressing and creepy. It actually happened last week that we ended up getting into a somewhat big argument about all this because that Netflix doc I mentioned earlier was the breaking point for me.
  2. Considering the amount of active, regular posters, I demand approximately $0.76 of that payday.
  3. I just hope it deeply upsets as many of its permanently-outraged and delusional members as possible.
  4. I saw some dude with a red baseball hat the other day and legit had one of those full body flinches. It turned out to be something unrelated but that's how much I seem to have red-hat-PTSD
  5. These were staples since my early teens. Only other metal kids around were older than me so they immediately gave me the 'check this out instead' education. Especially Morbid Tales and also Apocalyptic Raids by Hellhammer were fucking HUGE for me. I always loved how Tom Warrior sounds like he has this massive weight on his shoulders or something, shit is so heavy.
  6. I saw Pentagram in 2011 at a small club in Queens and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I've seen a lot of footage of some of their later gigs, all of which are kind of so-so, so I wasn't expecting that much really and they completely blew everyone the fuck away. This was with Victor Griffin and Joe Hasselvander on drums, so almost the complete Relentless lineup. People went totally crazy, one of the most fun Metal shows I've been to.
  7. I recently discovered just how much I love early recorded Blues. I've listened to this song a lot lately, also really, really like Skip James: Also discovered Jody Reynolds recently who fucking rules:
  8. I just started fully training again three weeks ago actually after only doing basic shit at home since Covid hit. Back to kickboxing twice per week and straight boxing once per week. I'm also coaching and cornering one of the young guys I've been training with at my place for an amateur fight he has coming up next month.
  9. Yea that's what I liked about it exactly. It was like a straight to DVD Jacob's Ladder but in an entertaining way.
  10. I believe that's Hellraiser: Inferno? I remember this one being far less shitty than the other faceless sequels and vaguely enjoyable.
  11. Just watched the 4K HDR UHD version of Christine. I love, love that movie as it is and I'm not usually one to seek out specific editions but good god, it looked absolutely gorgeous. The car especially looked glorious in HDR. Still one of my favorite Horror movies.
  12. Yeah, for me Seinfeld always got better the longer it went. I love how all out mean-spirited and over the top the last couple of seasons are.
  13. Turns out my girlfriend doesn't like Seinfeld. I have no words. I'm so fucking disappointed in her.
  14. I think the first one is essential, the second one pretty good and everything else best forgotten. Maybe Hellraiser 3 is cheesy fun, I only watched it twice and thought it sucked both times, but the first one especially has this eccentric, more artsy flair than your average Horror flick that I always thought made the movie what it is. It's a cliche yeah, but I'd still recommend reading The Hellbound Heart. It's only about 120 pages and amazing. I have zero interest in a remake so they could cast my cat to play Pinhead and I'd be cool with it.
  15. I'd be interested simply because of the backstory honestly. No iOS though.
  16. Steel Magnolias But only the 2012 remake with Queen Latifah
  17. I work on Long Island, was just at the deli and then supermarket and didn't see a single person without masks and I tend to notice that shit. So ehhhh, I don't know about "nobody in New York".
  18. Granted, reviews aren't that great but I've been thinking of picking up the PS5 version of it. The biggest criticism seems to be the lame combat so I'm curious if anyone here actually played it and let me know their thoughts. Is it lame and cumbersome in typical Survival Horror fashion or something more obnoxious?
  19. Shit looks terrible, like a straight-to-7/11-DVD-spin-rack SyFy movie. The trailer was really funny though, I give it that. That terrible 4 Non Blondes song randomly blaring was hilariously stupid.
