My cousin's daughter out on Long Island was friends with her so I've been hearing about this from him a lot. I get that the news reporting on this like they are is what's pissing people off but I'm still irrationally angry at the "lol stupid white girl" shit in this thread.

I was cycling between Subnautica and Quake (the recent re-release) all weekend. Both are fantastic and I almost forgot just how damn good Quake was. That game is scary as fuck on hard.

I think my biggest 'can we get over this already' mechanics would be any of the forced cinematic nonsense like a game randomly limiting your sprint speed, forced walking sections, incessantly babbling AI partner or even main protag. Essentially Naughty Dog-isms. The idea of taking control and agency away from the player to tell your story seems outdated and pretentious to me.

I'm just glad to see one of his movies finally making some damn money

Tried out Subnautica earlier and ended up playing for hours. This game is really cool so far.

To put it in context at least slightly...the game doesn't have a menu or anything. Can't pick New Game or Load Game or anything, it just starts. I still see your point haha

I ended up uploading my save, deleting the game and starting from scratch again

I missed my shot. I drove there once for a long weekend with some friends...from NYC to Nashville and back for a two day stay. Great idea.

At least SoA was still entertaining. Dexter was fucking ABYSMAL, jesus. That last episode was hilarious though, I seriously thought it was some sort of joke dream sequence and they'd snap us back to reality any scene now.

I can't speak for the others but the first Metal Slug is one of the most fun, refined and perfect feeling Action games ever for my money. It's so fucking good, highly recommend that. Also, the animations and art in general is incredible to look at in motion.

I've never played a single Call of Duty or any game of its ilk. Never played any online shooters since bouncing off playing Unreal Tournament online like...twice back in the day. In general, the most online gaming I've done is approximately a few hours combined of PvP or invasions across all Souls games and a little bit of Street Fighter V before I rage-deleted it. I haven't played a sports game since NBA Jam on the SNES and no racing game since Colin McRae Rally on PS1. Oh I've also never played a single Assassin's Creed game somehow.

I loved Norm McDonald on pretty much everything and anything I've ever seen him on. He was looking terrible on Comedians In Cars... and I remember wondering what was going on with him. Very sad to hear this.

Obviously that's why Baby Jesus struck down Enyart, to save him from an eternity in gay-induced hellfire!
