  1. Patrick who? That's a selfie from 1988, clearly.
  2. This is perfect material for several local News inspirational stories of 12 year olds who pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and sold lemonade for 72 hours straight through a winter storm without sleep to afford their diabetes medication.
  3. Gunplay looks janky as fuck but at least it's not a walking sim. Looks like a decent mid-tier 7/10 tops type of game to me and combine that with Lovecraft and I actually might pick this up when it hits. I definitely dig the protagonist looking like a washed-up Indiana Jones.
  4. Seriously laughed my ass off just now seeing the name "Rowdy Roddy Rosenstein" and then seeing his utterly wimpy milquetoast face in quick succession.
  5. Fuck no, this office is opening in NY next door to my house. I will be Human Resources and therefore falsify all reports against my incessant harassment and offensive, stupid jokes. Also face-farting.
  6. Don't agree, unions are the answer. There are issues there as well, sure, but unions have been proven to be the only way to beat what the American system does to the average worker. If you leave it up to some employer's empathy and/or sales figures, best of luck. If people stop buying their product, they'll simply start firing staff and make the 10 sorry motherfuckers left work 200 hours per work to prove a point that their job is a biblical (@SFLUFAN, eh eh????) blessing which should be worshiped every night before their 2 hours of bed time. Is that a lofty goal, I'm sure, but damn, the video game industry sounds like some of the most hideous working conditions based on all these articles hitting lately. There has to be a breaking point, no? I don't know how much of this is really common but to an outsider like me, this seems really widespread.
  7. Oh by the way, I started watching The Wire for the first time last week and I'm completely hooked. What a great fucking show so far.
  8. All I remember it as was like Armageddon level one-liner drivel but then again I haven't seen it in probably 20 years. I'm not a fan of 90's big Hollywood type flicks though in general so I'm biased. PS: I'm almost excited to hate Mandy now just so I can come back here and shit on it.
  9. Half of that list is some of the worst shit the 90's had to offer!!!! Oh yeah, Adaptation was great. Speaking of bad 90's...I just saw Last Boy Scout on TV, what a train wreck that was. Highly entertaining though.
  10. The few times I've truly liked Cage would be in Raising Arizona and Leaving Las Vegas that I can recall. Outside of those, and others I may not remember, he's more fun to laugh at than with. I appreciate him being a rowdy weirdo in real life the most actually, at least he's got that going for him. Actually, Gone In 60 Seconds remake with him is a guilty pleasure of mine. But again, it's more like holy shit he is endearingly bad. I also love Wild At Heart. Ok, that makes four. Edit: Also, bonus points for that sleazy stage name "Cage" haha
  11. I really didn't like Beyond The Black Rainbow. I thought it was visually beautiful but ultimately struck me as an empty and shallow exercise in style...which can transcend into something greater in itself but it just didn't work for me here. That paired with Cage's ironic presence (I mean who hires that clown in a serious film at this point?) really turned me off. That being said, I am willing to give it a chance and think it's on Netflix? I'll give it 45 minutes to prove its case.
  12. Coincidentally, I've been on a King Crimson binge lately. Have not seen Mandy though. I've been writing it off as full blown silly hipster-ism to be honest but maybe it's time to give it a shot.
  13. I'm a huge Lovecraft fan and really hope for once a game based on his writings can actually involve compelling gameplay. Not very optimistic about this aspect but will check reviews when they hit, that's for sure.
  14. I used it more as a figure of speech based on my background, should've said biblical instead.
  15. It seems to me there is a very Old Testament biblical angle to the justice system and death penalty specifically in America, that's what I was saying. I can't fact-check every figure of speech I throw out in a quick post. I went to Catholic all-boys school and remembered the verse in Exodus, seems to mirror what goes on here to me. And I'm sure that was your intention but that "psssttt" thing is incredibly condescending and unnecessary. I'm clearly not as educated as yourself on many subjects but that doesn't mean I should be spoken down to. Edit: Since you edited your post, nevermind I guess?
  16. Cases like these are when I believe in hardcore Catholic eye-for-an-eye rhetoric suddenly and felt upset at the fact he was granted such a merciful death relatively speaking.
  17. Here's a weird nostalgic childhood story: This was a few years after release but my sister's boyfriend at the time bought her a Game Boy. She tortured the shit out of me with it by not letting me touch it of course. About a week into it she begged me for money to buy cigarettes in a withdrawal fit and I told her only if she traded me the Game Boy for some packs. She agreed out of sheer terror my mother would find out she was regularly smoking so I promptly ran down to the store where they still sold them to really young kids, bought three packs with my allowance and had a Game Boy shortly after. A week later my sister broke down, confessed to my mother and demanded her Game Boy back because of this "unfair, stupid" trade. My mother told her tough shit, you made the deal, think it through next time and that was that. What a life lesson that was.
  18. My people piss on each other for sexual pleasure, you really think there's a way I don't swing?
