  1. So I played about 2 1/2 hours last night. Played on Xbox one X. For some reason on xbox it is a little bit glitchy. It isn't anything that breaks the game but for me every few minutes there is just like a pause while you are moving. A couple of times the sound would go out for a second and come back. This stuff can hopefully be patched. Also the text for this game is made for PC. Super hard to read the little text if you are sitting back on a couch looking at a TV - and that does take some away from the game. Again hopefully they can do something about that for consoles. The gameplay is very good. It is hard. Even with lots of Xcom experience this is a tough game. Expect to die a lot. You need to scope everything out very carefully and kill anyone that you can that is far enough away to not alert everyone else. I have died a few times because I didn't notice someone and when the fight started I was already flanked. Your group size is three and if you are fighting and equal or greater number of enemies you had best have a very good plan, or you will be quickly reloading your save.
  2. I'm at work but I was just able to tell it to push it to my xbox. So it is available now. I'm guessing it has been out since midnight.
  3. People have different tastes. For me the Daredevil created by Netflix was great (along with Kingpin). The Punisher they created was good. The rest was all garbage IMO. I know lots of people liked JJ, but it wasn't for me. I would like to see Daredevil continued but if it is not going to happen then I hope they can make something as good - and somehow figure a way through the contracts with Sony to get him teamed up with Spiderman.
  4. So... no Al Capone movies in the future. No Freddy movies. No Friday the 13th. We need a list of facially disfigured bad guys.
  5. Dude I'm looking forward to BL3. If they turn this into a multiplayer game (fallout) or a battle royal game I will be... well I'll be mildly upset. Then I'll just play something else.
  6. It is a case of Netflix moving on - but not primary because of viewership. Disney is set to become a competitor in 2019. With the cache of existing moves and television that Disney holds the rights to they will be a big time competitor. Also Disney is dumping huge amounts of cash into creating their own new content. The IP for daredevil (including this show) is owned by Disney, so Disney can continue this series if they choose to (However Netflix is retaining streaming rights to the content already created by them). Netflix wants to create their own content that they control. That was why they started making these shows in the first place, but now that Disney is a competitor they are no longer interested. You will see the new Jessica Jones and Punisher series since they are both basically done - then those will get canned too.
  7. You have all the time you need. Netflix is not losing these shows - they say that in the announcement. They effectively own all the shows that they helped make and will always be streaming them. They just aren't going to be making any more. I would suspect that Disney will either have Season 4 of this Daredevil - OR... they may have a new Daredevil that they bring into the movie MCU.
  8. I'm kind of excited. This game is one of the reasons I just pulled the trigger on game pass (a year for $70). I was planning on buying this right away - but with it debuting on Game pass - plus all the other games coming out in the next year (plus FH4 which I haven't played yet) this was an easy call.
  9. The really great thing is every 10 years or so a new awesome group of up and coming actors will be available. And now that this CGI is done they can just have a new group of actors do voice overs every 10 years... and every 10 years it will be awesome. And if Disney does this with their whole catalog of movies there will never be a reason to ever green light a new idea again!
  10. An animated remake of a cartoon... in which non of the original creative minds get any payment. Disney makes a mint and everyone is excited.
  11. "A Clash of Kings" (the second book) is really one of the better books I have read. After that there was a decrease in quality. I would agree when you factor in his age and the other projects he is more eager to work on that he probably won't finish this series. He will probably get the next book out, but not the final one.
  12. I'm looking forward to playing Crackdown 3. I don't think it is going to be great, but after all the delays and buildup it will be interesting to finally play whatever it is they put out there. Others: Kingdom hearts 3 Anthem Metro Exodus Gears 5 Ori and the will of the wisps
  13. It's almost sad how great NBA Street used to be. Back in the day we had that... NBA Jam and Hangtime, NFL Blitz, NFL Street. Now we have playgrounds which seems to be garbage (to be fair I haven't tried the newest one)... and that is about it for that game type. We need more new non sim sports games.
  14. There were parts of Man of Steel that are okay. I can't really get behind anything in BvS. The 25 second scene of batman fighting the thugs in the warehouse was good - but that can't redeem a movie.
  15. Wow. That's harsh. I was thinking it was going to be bad but damn.
  16. I have purchased those in the past. I somewhat recently had a revelation that I don't need things on release day (or earlier). So my days of paying extra for that stuff are in the past. Honestly I have a backlog, as I'm sure most of us do. So I don't have a real need to pick anything up right away. If you can wait a couple of months not only do you not pay EXTRA - you can usually get stuff for almost half off. I have also found that if I don't buy the game right away... by the time it is on sale sometimes I don't even want it anymore. To be fair I really only enjoy single player experiences. For some games that rely on lots of people playing there probably is a benefit to getting the game at the same time as everyone else.
  17. Morrowind, Steel Battalion, Burnout, Blinx, and Mercenaries could all be added to the list.
  18. It would never make a 'classic' list but I loved Deathrow back in the day. It is kind of a future sport game,. Mix of hockey and basketball and violence with a flying disc instead of a ball.
  19. I think it will be emotional again... or at least it is shooting for it. There is a story that Tim Allen couldn't make it through a script reading without crying.
  20. Spot on and exactly what MS is doing. They will have a handful of AAA content and a whole lot of pretty good filler for people to play between AAA releases. For the farther out future I don't think MS will care what device you are playing on as long as you have a Game Pass sub.
  21. I learned from watching the Foo Fighters 'Sonic Highways' show that learning the meaning behind lyrics makes songs worse.
