  1. I was getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on a switch when the report came out early this month that said there was going to be a newer revision coming out next year. So who knows what that is going to be but I'm at least going to wait and see what the new hardware is first.
  2. Just so there is no misunderstanding - I think RDR2 looks amazing and I can't wait to play it - however: I'm in the middle of AC Odyssey and I know if I switch to RDR I may not come back. So I am going to finish Odyssey first. That may take me a couple more weeks. Who knows maybe I can get RDR on black Friday for a couple bucks off. I am a gamer that can't play two games at once so this is what I get. Anyone else here not getting this right away?
  3. I'm not sure what your phone number is or I would call you... but they already announced the next mainline halo game was coming to pc.
  4. For me the series really only got interesting with Black Flag. Origins was better, and Odyssey (I'm about 20 hours in) seems to be the best. I kinda agree with @Xbob42 I would not feel a lot of pull to play the early games. However - I don't really like the parts of AC that tie the games together. Any current time period parts of the game I just run through as fast as possible to get back to Sparta/egypt etc.
  5. Kind of off topic - but I am getting to the point where I don't much like the theater experience any more. People are rude. Not always the cleanest environment. At the same time my home theater is better than ever with 4k and good surround. What I would really like is the option to pay something like $50 to view a movie that is new to the theater at home. That is roughly what it costs me in tickets for my family of 4... so everyone would get paid (except the theater). I think Sony and some others have tried this on a small scale before. I would love if it was the norm.
  6. I think one reason is to move it farther away from the Joker movie... but they could have just moved it a couple months. WW is supposed to be done shooting in Dec. I know they need a lot of time for effects but to not release it for a year and a half after that seems excessive.
  7. I got a tad annoyed with the game last night - but it is more of a video game problem and not specifically a problem for just this game. I came across a girl who was complaining that while she was playing her guitar some soldiers were singing profane lyrics to her song... so of course her job for me was to assassinate their captain. I get that pretty much all you can do in this game is fight or pick things up - therefore everything is either a fetch quest or a murder quest. But damn. "I was mildy offended - please kill the guy for me". lol
  8. I would totally watch your movie. You could have classic superman too... I mean Brandon Ruth was basically playing the Reeves version of Superman.
  9. I say go really weird. Pull in all the past live action batmen and do something like what they are doing with the spiderman multiverse movie. Just have Batman fight some multidimensional being that brings all the batmen together. It would be weird but a lot of fun. Would have been even better if they would have done it when Adam West was alive.
  10. I see from your analogy that you misunderstand the working environment. This isn't an unforeseeable accident like a car wreck. People can get different jobs... they can move...they can change careers. I would not work regular 100 hour weeks. I would quit and do something else if that was a regular expectation of me. If others choose to keep their jobs that is their choice. If any of you think this is really evil and we need to stop companies from exploiting workers like this - then you better not be playing this game. Because you will be fully informed and knowingly supporting this work environment if you buy it. So lets see some true action put to your words. No RDR2 for you.
  11. So two questions: What about last years Origins, and how about Hellblade?
  12. Kinda hard to get too misty eyed about programmers sitting in air conditioning working overtime. My best friend works in concrete and his average week is 70 hours. His hands will start bleeding if he makes a tight fist from all the chemicals he comes in contact to all week long. There are tons of workers out there putting in overtime. I respect the effort from Rockstar. I don't get the sense that they are really complaining in the article. I think they are proud of their hard work.
  13. To address the people worried about the artistic integrity of the Guardians movies (really) : Marvel made James Gunn. Not the other way around. I know there are people that are going to post "but Slither was awesome!"... whatever. He was not an A list director before the Guardians movies. Marvel has done a great job finding directors with talent and putting them in a position to succeed. At this point there is not a lot of reason to doubt they can do it again. They have done it for a solid decade now. Same goes for Batista. He has been good in his role as drax. Other movies that i have seen him in have been cringe-worthy. I wish him the best but I don't see him ever as a headline actor and the Marvel universe certainly will be just fine if he leaves or even switches to DC.
  14. Next thing you will tell me is there is a female He-man... Probably on that leftist Netflix.
  15. But... does he have to use any of the characters from the first one? Cause they all sucked.
  16. I just think every movie is gong to have it's crazy defenders - more so on opening weekend. You have to think a great majority of people who went on opening night are people who have loved the Venom character for a long time, or were really excited by the movie for other reasons... actors etc. Most of the time people will rationalize that their choices were correct. Its hard, especially immediately, to be critical of something you spend a long time looking forward to.
  17. As far as battery goes streaming a game is going to have more in common with Netflix than it does with Puzzle Quest. All the computing will be offloaded. You will be streaming the visuals and sending back inputs.
  18. The article I read (here: https://www.vox.com/culture/2018/10/8/17951112/box-office-venom-star-is-born ) Says it has the same audience cinema score as Justice League and Suicide Squad. Which is still a good score - but I think that shows that polling audience members that see something opening weekend is a poor indicator. Most of those people have some sort of 'buy in' to the movie before they go.
  19. I think this is totally the future. That said, I'm not really comfortable with it. I guess it has worked okay with movies and music. We just won't own anything at all and be completely reliant on streaming for everything. Someday in the future when this is the only option I'll be the old man screaming at the cloud.
  20. He has seemed to be pretty consistent that he wants to do other things and mostly be behind the camera going forward. My guess is that Bucky takes over at the end of Avengers 4. I wouldn't be surprised if Stark calls it quits or is killed either. If he survives he may become more of a Fury type character showing up for a few minutes in films and maybe being a lead in main line Avenger films only. Thor seems to want to stick around so maybe they keep him.
  21. You are self aware enough to understand how pretentious this sounds right?
