  1. The Deck is already 1.5 years old, and has already been surpassed (by ROG Ally and others) -- and isn't really a good unit for the AAA games that are launching now (i.e. BG3, Starfield, Immortals of Avenum). It will be 2.5 years old when this new console launches. This new console had better be an improvement.
  2. Chandler Jones Says Raiders Sent Crisis Response Team to His House in IG Story Posts BLEACHERREPORT.COM Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones said the team sent a crisis response team to his home after he called the organization out on social media this…
  3. I think a 540p DLSS to 1080p won't look particularly good on a 50" 4K TV. If you are suggesting a 540p DLSS image is is indistinguishable from a modern PS5/XSeX game (that uses FSR2)....
  4. Based on what we've seen so far, DLSS is very good at upscaling 1440p+/40fps+ video to 4k/60. It's not nearly as good at 1080p and below 40fps. Would this be offset by looking at it on a 4" screen? Maybe.-- On a TV? Probably not. And the power draw? This sounds like Ultra 64 level hype to me.
  5. IMHO, it's the combination of the great combat and great platforming that make this game so good. [It also doesn't hurt that the story is pretty good, and the production values are very high.]
  6. So you've won twice, I've one twice and @Keyser_Soze has won once?
  7. Week 1 -- Ravens, Commanders, Chiefs, Seahawks, Vikings Week 2 -- Bills, Eagles, Giants, Chiefs, Bengals
  8. I haven't had time to get back to it, but I am having trouble with the second boss after the tutorial -- no real problems up to that point. The tutorial boss and first boss were beat on ~4th attempt. I'm pretty sure that I have to rethink my AC build (presently very tanky).
  9. Best, yes. The interactivity is also kinda the opposite of the definition of high art though.
  10. My plan was to be playing Armored Core VI on the Steam Deck and Spider-Man on the desktop. However... I have the Spider-Man crashing to desktop problem people are complaining about on the Steam Forums -- started about 7 hours in, and happens every 10 minutes or so. Works perfectly on Steam Deck. I think it is a really solid game -- it really fells like InFamous (with better side mission variety) with Batman combat. It looks great, the traversal is fun. But, it feels really repetitive to me -- not much variety to combat/enemies, Manhattan feels pretty much the same everywhere, and the story is "meh" so far. I was playing Armored Core VI on Steam Deck -- love the movement and controls, but the text was way too hard to read. But, it's great on the PC. Presently at the second boss (Balteus?) in the first Act -- and was really struggling with him (I've probably lost to him 8 or 9 times). Graphics look next gen, but I do find the gameplay really engaging. The short missions would make it a great game on Deck, shame the small text/Hud elements make it mostly unplayable. Kids wanted me to play Subnautica (while they watched) -- it's OK (not really my style of game).
  11. As a kid my father was transferred to Australia, where we lived for 3 years. I lived for 13 years in the US and Brazil as a foreign employee of a multinational.
  12. Recognize the limitations of the Steam Deck -- it is great as a handheld, and can play less demanding stuff at 1080p. But, I wouldn't expect to play current AAA stuff on a TV with decent frame rates.
  13. What record will the Falcons have this season?
  14. Have you got a good financial advisor to ensure the money lasts?
  15. I can see why you may say that. The mission structure is nothing like MGS however. The mechs aren’t particularly like Metal Gears. You’re right, the camera is not good.
