  1. At some point consoles will move away from the "generation" model, and move to something more akin to iPhones and PCs -- where they maintain backwards compatibility for a certain period of time. This may be that time for Microsoft.
  2. You don't need Game Pass to play games online on PC, and you're forced to use the crappy Microsoft Store. It's not a product that is attractive to a PC Gamer who isn't tied into the Xbox ecosystem.
  3. I don't think that is the case. I suspect the reason the PC version is cheaper is that barely anyone subscribes to it.
  4. You have a wildly different view of EA's output than I do. They don't really start new series any more (EA Originals is a completely different business model). The last one I can think of was Anthem, and before that may have been Titanfall.
  5. I think the industry, as a whole, has come to the conclusion that cosmetic DLC works a whole lot better in online multiplayer games than in single player games. I don't really see EA taking too many risks with their internally developed games. A licensed sequel from one of the most popular entertain IPs isn't exactly "high risk".
  6. I would be shocked if any game got through EA's development approval process without being profitable on their own. I don't believe they justify the existence of any project by having other profitable projects.
  7. CCS2 is not a worldwide standard -- it's primarily a European one. Japan, South Korea and North America have not adopted it.
  8. Star Wars Outlaws & Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be exclusive to Ubisoft Store, not coming to EGS or Steam WWW.DSOGAMING.COM Ubisoft has revealed that Star Wars Outlaws & Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be exclusive to Ubisoft Store at launch. SW: Outlaws and Avatar: FoP to be Ubisoft Store Exclusive Assassin's Creed Mirage and The Crew: Motorfest to be Ubisoft Store and EGS exclusive.
  9. So, this looks like it will scratch the RTS itch I have. I really enjoyed Shadow Tactics when I played it, and this seems to have sort-of similar gameplay. I didn't have a huge amount of time to play games tonight, so only played the tutorial (which took me just over an hour). Lots of story/cut scenes in that first hour. So far, enjoying it, and looking forward to starting the first "real" mission.
  10. Keep moving through Hogwart's Legacy -- I'm guessing I'm about 2/3rds through. Will start Aliens: Dark Descent tonight.
  11. The Democrats would be considered fiscally conservative in most of the rest of the western world.
  12. It's not. Liberalism fundamentally believes in the rights of the individual, rather than the rights of groups of people. What many people call liberalism in the US is not what has generally been accepted as the definition of that word for hundreds of years (and still is outside of the US -- and increasingly Canada). In fact, in many cases it is the antithesis of that. US conservatism is also not classically liberal. As mentioned above, liberalism believes in the rights of the individual, equality of the individual before the law, liberty, etc. Modern US progressivism is decidedly not liberal.
  13. Fiscally conservative and Socially Liberal is what most of the world calls "liberal" -- except the US of course.
  14. There are some people who want to live in the city, others who prefer small towns, country living or suburbia. It's amazing how different people have different preferences.
  15. I do a little bit of both. I tend to do most "story" side quests, but only a few "collectible" side quests if that makes any sense.
