  1. That's kinda my point. I think people ARE getting tired of these movies that feature the origin stories of obscure characters that all end in a big CGI battle at the end and only tangentially connect with the rest of the MCU universe (and the other characters that were built up over 20+ movies, and then, bizarrely, mostly killed off). The only MCU movies I have seen in theatres since Endgame are Dr. Strange (which I thought was good/different) and Spider-Man -- coincidentally, those are the 2 with the highest box offices. Disney Marvel movies WERE the top grossing movies every year. Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar 2 brought in the audiences last year that the MCU used to. I went to see those in theatres because they had a premise that interested me -- both grossed significantly higher than any of the 6 Disney MCU movies released in 2021/2022.
  2. Box office is an indicator of whether people are getting tired of superhero movies. Edit: More specifically, which ones they are interested in.
  3. Shang Chi: $432 million worldwide gross Eternals: $402 million worldwide gross Spider-Man: No Way Home: $1,922 million worldwide gross
  4. How does the same man produce Spider-Man for another company, and then turn around and produce The Eternals and Shang-Chi for his own.
  5. With all the holes on their roster, I can't see the Raiders trading what it would take to get him. At least, not without a commitment of 3 more years of play...
  6. I appreciate having access to 538's sports ELO models -- hopefully they keep running.
  7. Conference Championship Feature Game Kansas City Chiefs - All my Fake Money QUESTIONS 1) Chiefs TD 2) Chiefs 3) Chiefs 4) Mahomes 5) Eagles
  8. I play every Forza to death. But, that trailer has to be the most boring/least hype-building video I have seen in a long time. I want to know about all the new cars/tracks -- not 1.5 minutes discussing the sound design.
  9. Shame the video is in German, I would love more context on this. When/how does it cause slowdown? It is just during heavy loads? Or consistently?
  10. Ok. I really thought the best grossing Disney comic book movies were all between Iron Man 3 and End Game. I recall they were consistently grossing over a billion. I had thought all the rest since (maybe excluding Dr Strange) were well under. I suppose I am forgetting the Spider-Man movies, because they feel like Sony does enough to differentiate them from the Feige formula for me.
  11. I preferred Psygnosis's earlier stuff, to the games that came later -- if you like Barbarian, Obliterator is also good. I never played King of Chicago. I enjoyed Rocket Ranger, It Came from The Desert and Lords of the Rising Sun a whole bunch. Defender of the Crown was one of the first Amiga games I played -- so it has tons of nostalgia for me, but it was a really simple game.
  12. Best memories from: * Speedball 2 * Super Cars 2 * Carrier Command * Gods * Chaos Engine * Cinemaware games (I'm sure they don't hold up) * Lemmings series * Turrican II * Sensible Soccer * IK+ * Cannon Fodder Which one? The Psygnosis one or the Palace Software one?
  13. Some engines run better on AMD vs. Nvidia, so it's not always a good comparison. At some price point, things stop dropping. A GTX-1070 can still handle most games, so it has an intrinsic value for anyone looking to replace a broken video card.
  14. I used to go to every MCU movie on opening weekend. After the last few years of more formulaic/disappointing movies -- I haven't even bothered to watch some of them on Disney+. [And neither have a bunch of my acquaintances.]
  15. I don't either. I played it at a cousin's place over Xmas -- and my memory was that I was underwhelmed and thought that Quake 2 online multiplayer was a lot better.
  16. The Day Before—one of Steam's most wishlisted games—hit by 8-month delay over bizarre trademark dispute | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The Day Before is now eight months after.
  17. I have 3-4 missions left in GTAV, so will finish it over the next couple of weeks. I have to admit, I am underwhelmed, and don't understand how it became such a cultural phenomena. Not sure what to play next. I have Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Far Cry 6 and Control sitting at the top of my backlog. The other alternative is to pick up Dead Space on Friday....
  18. I roasted a duck last week, and was shocked by the amount of Duck Fat that was left over in the roasting pan. Thinking of using the duck fat to make some Hasselback potatoes this weekend.
  19. My only issue with Origin is that for things like Dead Space/Jedi Survivor, I would really prefer a Steam Key rather than an Origin/EA App for easier use on Steam Deck.
