I looked into this a little bit more but can't test it myself since I haven't gotten that far. You can move them in outposts or houses in build mode, I guess trying on a ship is the only way it doesn't work but I also haven't built a ship so I'm not sure how far you can take it there.

Yeah, I think it's good for games that don't require being online. All games I've done it with work perfectly (Eiyuden Chronicles Rising, Tinykin, and Starfield) - On Tinykin I was kind of blown away, last time I played it was in March and then recently last month it was going off game pass so I finished it up. But I quick resumed from the quick resume from march and it was still there, so like 6 months and working like a charm.
