  1. Sherlock Holmes' superpower is dressing down Watson like he's an absolute simp for it.
  2. Yeah, her ability is for sure a superpower, I just meant that it feels about as much as a superhero show as something like Columbo to me. She's always going to detect the lie, he's always going to come back into the room and say, "oh just one more thing." Maybe I've watched too many Smallville / CW shows
  3. Kinda. Her ability to tell that people are lying is inevitably what leads her to expose whoever did the crime of the week and it’s essentially a superpower, but the show doesn’t really focus on it beyond the pilot and her occasionally talking to people about it.
  4. Ah that’s a shame. I was hoping that if it was less fun, we’d at least get an Eternals pivot to more of a “movie.” Honestly I could watch movies where they fight on Life Savers, toy trains, and Legos forever, it’s just goofy and I love it.
  5. I’ve got no problem with forgiveness and reconciliation, the good vibes of the show are the main part of the appeal. I still think season 2 spent a whole lot of time setting up Nate as a bad guy but his beef with Ted made so little sense. I appreciate that if you’re going to borderline incel / gamergate him that “sense” kind of goes out the window, but it doesn’t make for a compelling or convincing turn. We’ll see.
  6. The second season was still entertaining and fun but seemed a lot less focused and unsure of its vibes compared to the first. Looking forward to this in general and curious to see what shakes out of the absolutely moronic decision to make Nate a villain.
  7. I have had Musk blocked for a while, since he bought Twitter I’ve had to reblock him more than once.
  8. I remember the manga having a similar pace to Stampede; the characters generally get less attention than the action and the sheer amount of art compared to the '98 anime. For me the issue is less that than it is that we've spent most of the time showing what Vash being himself costs the people that he fails and not enough time showing what he gets out of being the way he is and what it costs him personally. This is also more similar to the manga, but the '98 anime was just straight up better in this regard and hopefully Stampede gets around to some of that as well. That said it's still better so far than I'd expected it would be so I can't complain too much.
  9. He's showed significantly more of his ass since then. I've had to reblock him on twitter at least once lately, what a fucking goober.
  10. He could say that Tig Notaro has been cast to play The Flash in this movie, and we all win.
  11. Somehow I had missed a bunch of this. Giving this movie a Super Bowl push is nuts and Gunn getting on Twitter to talk about how pumped he is for this to come out is demented.
  12. The fucking irony of Flash worrying about destroying the multiverse as the DCEU gets destroyed is too hot to handle, too cold to hold. Also wild to see just how much Ezra is in this, Jesus Christ.
  13. Doing the Trial of the Sword on Master Mode was... difficult. But worth it to have the Master Sword reach its full potential. Honestly weapons breaking was, for me, only really annoying in the beginning when you didn't have a ton of weapon slots. After you fill that out it never really became an issue. I can appreciate people wanting ways to toughen or repair their favorite weapons (other than the quest weapons), a lot of really fun ones aren't super easy to come by. BotW is one of my favorite games but I appreciate some of the vibes that I really like are probably flaws. That clip of negaoryx not realizing a ton of moves were in the game until she'd beaten three of the Divine Beasts is symptomatic of some real discovery issues with the game, as are the fact that you could not realize that the Axl Rose outfit that lets you climb better exists, or that getting Revali's Gale negates most of the complaints about climbing in the rain... etc. Hopefully they find a way to keep the minimalists vibes I liked intact while giving some more options for guidance for people who'd like them.
  14. I have a core set on preorder because I hate time, money, and myself.
  15. I’m suing the magnetic field for infringing on this man’s second amendment rights. Can you imagine being a second amendment supporter at this point in your life? It’s more embarrassing than randomly shitting yourself or falling into open manhole covers.
  16. We could keep feeding and caring for this goose that lays golden eggs but man just imagine the foie gras...
