  1. PlayStation's Wolverine Game Reportedly Has a Violent, 'Hard-R' Tone WWW.CBR.COM Wolverine fans looking forward to the hero's upcoming video game may be in store for a gruesome gameplay experience when it hits PlayStation. Hard R?
  2. I don’t think people involved decided to get together and do an anti-Semitism. But there’s no excuse for ignorance of how closely this plot resembles the blood libel, especially since the parallels between Rowling’s hook nosed, miserly, money obsessed, always-suggested-to-be-potentially-aligned-with-dark-wizards goblins have been called out for a long time now. Other than Hogwarts there’s not a ton of stuff in the canon about this time, they could have written this game about damn near anything, and they ended up with blood libel / new world order bullshit. And let’s not forget that Tolkien was called out on some of this stuff contemporaneously, it’s not like people were unaware that the dwarves were Semitic, that the good races are all white men, etc. “Using old fantasy tropes” is a problem, not an explanation.
  3. It's not too big per se, but it is absolutely overtuned. Day / night cycle, dangerous flora, too segmented, etc. The only real sins this game commits are it being overstuffed and the ending being absolutely rushed, but they're minor ones overall.
  4. Well even if you're not looking any movie stills, the canon's moneylenders/bankers being treasure obsessed, hook nosed goblins is not subtle
  5. I don't think Elon appreciates how profitable scams are if he thinks $100 is a barrier to entry to anyone who's serious about them. This man is just terminally stupid.
  6. This has never been subtle: It really is. The game’s not out but assuming the plot is what has been teased, it’s wild.
  7. The goblins in HP are obvious stand ins for Jewish stereotypes and the game apparently revolves around them teaming up with evil wizards to take over the world. Shit is completely unhinged.
  8. Shouldn’t the Utah state flag be a 16 year old getting cosmetic surgery?
  9. It's 2 things: 1) enemies will spawn behind me with no sound and no clues that they're there until they're either about to hit me, or if it's those lil tentacle head guys, their projectiles damage me 2) I'll kill all visible enemies in a room, the combat music will stop, but not all the enemies will be actually be dead and I'll get punched while I'm looting or moving a battery around or something It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen often enough to be annoying. I'm playing on Hard now, if i was on Impossible I'd be pissed.
  10. This show was on the air for 13 seasons??? I would have guessed 6 or 7. I really enjoy what I've seen of it which I assumed was most but I suppose I was way off.
  11. I'm completely fine with the encounters, environments, and mobs being dynamic based on whatever vibes the game feels like it should throw my way. Getting clipped by an enemy that I was given zero clue was there does not make the experience more intense, it makes it more annoying. If you're going to use musical to signal me that the room is clear, do it consistently. Some of those little fuckers are mobile and tiny, it's not fun to sprint around like a lunatic in a room I'm 90% sure is clear.
  12. A few minutes ago the characters had a conversation about AI advances and the entire chat started screaming about pulling the plug, it was great.
  13. lul watchmeforever - Twitch WWW.TWITCH.TV NOTHING, FOREVER | AI generated, always on, always weird | after hours
  14. A buddy of mine who raises chickens has always said that if you started to poach a stone and an egg laying hen at the same time, the stone would be ready to eat first.
  15. There's a difference between Thanos tasking someone he believes loyal to bring a stone to him vs. him willingly giving away one of the things he's actively looking to collect. Again, none of the early shit fits, Thor at some point is aware of and actively looking for Infinity Stones but doesn't know the aether is one when it's taken over Jane? Which is totally fine, that's the point. I think putting a director at the helm of something like this is a horrible idea in general. Kevin Feige was just... built for this. Dude's wikipedia page is like 5 paragraphs long. And say what you will about the vibes of the MCU, they're built for mass consumption, they're like the Cheetos of movies. Snyder and Gunn? I... don't know that they have it in them to temper their indulgent instincts? Which is GREAT for a show like Peacemaker or pretty good for something like 300. I don't think you can plan a connected universe around that.
