The only reason Cole isn’t a “better reliever” is because Cole is way better than that guy and starts. Gtfo with this. Everybody is going to do something for the first time. The best will remain the best when put in uncomfortable and/or unfamiliar situations. If your options include the best pitcher in baseball, you bring him in. Cole could probably pitch 7-9. Maybe astros can get another run to potentially save Hinch.
