Nintendo Pokemon Sword and Shield - Information Thread (Launching 11/15/19)

I literally don’t give a shit about only having half the roster. I like using the new Pokémon and I don’t do the online battling stuff. -
I watched a new hope and there was a continue watching button

He asked for it to be mid-week and they said no. He asked for it to be later on Saturday and they said no lol. I hope this turns out well for him but something stinks about this.

Just watched it. I really dig it. Excited to see where this goes -
Obviously that is the priority. I’m wondering why the dog can’t be sequestered for longer than a week.

You can’t keep her longer than a week? What about like a garage or outside except to sleep? Idk what the weather is like where you are.

9 hours of cutscenes is a lot. 15 hour game or 75 hour game. what i like about cutscenes in games is they usually don't take up that much time and something important actually happens. I obviously haven't played death stranding but if there's any cutscene stuff that can be done while still letting the player play (or at least move around), they should probably do that. Like in Red dead Redemption when you are riding somewhere and get story info, that's great. It makes the ride over there better because im actually listening to whoever im riding with and having a conversation.

General Gaming D1P's games of the decade
johnny replied to ShreddieMercury's topic in The Spawn Point
Had to google to see what games came out this decade. Quick list: Mass Effect 2 - Didn't play 1 before this, and I still think this game is amazing. Probably one of the games I've played the most. I'm dying for a ME remaster. Uncharted 3/4/The Lost Legacy - Im a slut for Naughty Dog The Last of Us - See above, also this is one of the best stories I've played through in a game. Bioshock Infinite - I think 1 and 2 are better but I love this franchise and being able to do Bioshock stuff is just so fun to me Wolfenstein: The New Order - Some of the most fun I've had with a FPS until... DOOM - One of the best FPS games I've ever played The Witcher III - Really engrossing world. Legit knew nothing about The Witcher but it instantly grabbed me. I even like the gameplay which can sometimes be a pain in the ass Life is Strange - As far as I'm concerned the only game to do the telltale style and make a good game with it. Hitman - So fun getting dropped into a level and having a ton of different ways to assassinate your targets Horizon Zero Dawn - Extremely fun getting to fight machines and beat them in several different ways. Spider-Man - Satisfying gameplay, one of my favorite characters Celeste - Amazing platformer God of War - I can't even put into words how amazing this game is -
General Gaming Edge celebrates the 12 defining games of the decade

I would definitely have Overwatch on this list and a single player game like last of us or Witcher 3. Maybe both of them. -

I think it’s fine to put the more popular game over the one that “did it first” -

I worked at a warehouse (different from what I imagine Kroger is like) but I enjoyed it for what it was. Mostly because I got along well with my coworkers.

Awesome Op-Ed piece by Scorsese https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/04/opinion/martin-scorsese-marvel.html#click=https://t.co/hrX1LdDnXv “Some say that Hitchcock’s pictures had a sameness to them, and perhaps that’s true — Hitchcock himself wondered about it. But the sameness of today’s franchise pictures is something else again. Many of the elements that define cinema as I know it are there in Marvel pictures. What’s not there is revelation, mystery or genuine emotional danger. Nothing is at risk. The pictures are made to satisfy a specific set of demands, and they are designed as variations on a finite number of themes. They are sequels in name but they are remakes in spirit, and everything in them is officially sanctioned because it can’t really be any other way. That’s the nature of modern film franchises: market-researched, audience-tested, vetted, modified, revetted and remodified until they’re ready for consumption.”
