PC Anybody else still doing folding@home?
erehwon replied to Remarkableriots's topic in The Spawn Point
I did years ago. I've done both folding@home and SETI@home. I just ended up stopping as well. Probably forgot to put it back on after a rebuild of my PC. -
Since I have to avoid nuts, I go with Oatmilk. Breyer's has an oatmilk vanilla ice cream which is excellent.

I picked up FFVII Remake for the PS5. Sadly for full price at walmart. Don't know why it has gotten so hard to find. I also picked up a Schwinn IC4 exercise bike on sale from Best Buy.

I do at work and when I'm around others. As much I want to avoid catching it myself, I really want to keep from giving it to my parents who are caregivers for my grandfather. The long term effects are rather concerning as well. Living in Indiana, it seems like I'm one of the only ones still wearing one. They aren't that bad. I've gotten used to the KN95s.

These are my first good retro finds in a while. The X-Arcade I found in a very rich neighborhood for $20. I found the Lunar 2 in another nicer sale for $30. I need to see if this copy of Lunar is in better condition than mine. Sadly, retro stuff has really dried up in my area. Finding video game stuff at garage sales is hard.

faux Retro Games Pickup (Modern re-creations of the old)
erehwon replied to chakoo's topic in Retro Gaming
I picked up a Turbografx 16 mini this week from amazon. It was about $90 for a like new used copy. That's more than I would like to spend for one of these, but it didn't look like I was going to be able to get it for any cheaper. Here is my collection of mini consoles so far. I paid retail for the nintendo ones, and $20 for the ps1 mini. Still waiting on a deal for a sega mini. -
Sadly, I don't have it my area. It would be nice to have better reception or more channels for my grandfather. Looks like the nearest area to me that might get it is Indy.

Thanks for letting us know. Both of mine were puffed up. I hadn't looked at them in years.

I would definitely five star as many locations as you can. It helps with the new equipment you can get, like the cover from the Collector. It also increases the network bandwidth available with is useful when you want to set up a network of ziplines. I ended up spending countless hours raiding two enemy camps for materials for the roads. I even stole their trucks to use early on till I could build my own trucks. Building roads all the way to south knot city took forever, but it made deliveries a lot easier. I have a question for you guys. Later on, a Doctor will reward you for deliveries with high capacity blood bags. Do you ever get the ability to make those?

I always wondered what the slot was for on the bottom of the NES

That was an interesting video. I had figured it was an expansion port, just didn't know the history behind it. -
I finally beat Death Stranding this week. I spent 150 hours on this game. It's been a long time since I sunk that much time into a game. I ended up playing on PS4 since I found a copy at my local library. Unfortunately, I hadn't updated my ps4 in a while and was playing offline. I didn't know that other player could contribute materials, which meant that I made the majority of the roads by myself. Fortunately, I found out around the distribution center before mountain knot city. It was a interesting story, with one really long ending. I really had a lot of fun using the zip lines in the mountains. I needed only the veteran porter and first prepper to complete the central area and 2 others in the eastern region, but I'd had enough.

Is anyone worried about voter supression this fall? With the virus causing large numbers of polling places to be closed, I am worried about this election. In Indiana, they let anyone vote by mail for the primary, but I haven't heard anything about vote by mail for the fall election. I would really like to avoid going to a polling place this fall.

erehwon replied to Chris-'s topic in The Performing Arts Centre
So what is the best home release of this to watch? I have the platinum collection and The End of Evangelion on dvd. Are there any better releases?
