  1. The predatory pricing is between the restaurant and the delivery service. That ain't none of my goddamn business. Restaurants have been happy to have predatory tipping "wages" for decades. Sucks, but no one does shit about it.
  2. How many fucking crowdfunding campaigns do they need to run before they can just manufacture and sell them like a normal company?
  3. Many, many people find RE4 to be utterly unplayable due to the weird aiming system alone. That's not a minor thing at all. Of course, if you change that, you have to change up how the enemies can move and react, and then you might as well add in some cool new content while you're at it! And then delete Ashley and you're good.
  4. The solution is simple: Defense contractors that pump out trash must be killed by that trash.
  5. Ahh, Folklore. One of the first games I got with my PS3, that I couldn't play because it softlocked early on when you had a DualShock 3 instead of a SixAxis (or maybe third-party pads? In any case, you needed motion control for the very first battle) and I was sad because it seemed cool. I still think about that game fairly frequently, despite never getting past the first battle.
  6. God I can't wait. Resident Evil 3 remake has been their weakest game in years and it was still fucking great if not as good as RE2. This looks like their A-team with years to make it, so I'm hyped as hell. Modern Resident Evil is just my favorite. Also that logo looks like fucking trash and I love it.
  7. I find the complete lack of detail in that roadmap repugnant. What the fuck do these patches fix/add? Specifically? Been waiting to play this more since I figure it'll be much better after the patches, but they continue to be so fucking vague. By now they have to have an idea of what the goal of each patch is, but here we are, 10 or fewer days away (which will be a month since the last patch) and just "1.1" motherfucker I don't care what the patch number is, tell me what you're doing!
  8. Only zip ties I ever have are also for wires. The really small, thin kind. So I can either do a bit of cable management or a makeshift set of zip cuffs for Trump.
  9. TV has never been factored into console gaming for some reason, despite gaming being one of the primary reasons a gamer would want a really nice display, I think.
  10. Imagine you're the President of the United States of America. You're on one of your last Fridays in office as one of the most powerful people on the planet. You spend the night trying to circumvent a fucking Twitter ban. I would consider literally anyone I've ever met to be a fucking loser for spending a Friday night like that, let alone this dipshit. Just holy fuck what a moron.
  11. Despite the current hellscape, I'm still glad it's not the much worse hellscape that a lot of people were utterly prepared for and heavily expecting of 4 more years of Trump.
  12. I have not really played Demon's Souls since launch week. I've played so many Souls games, so it was hard to stay invested.
  13. Haven't watched the video yet, and have also only played this game on PS5, but yes, it runs very well. Meaning my only real complaint with it is all the wooden, almost comically stoic non-characters that plague the title. That and I find the samurai setting to be kind of lame in general, but combat's alright and the world seems pretty fun to explore so far. Really makes me want a jump button for Assassin's Creed. Nice to just be able to jump on shit. Guess I kind of got that with Immortals Fenyx Rising, but now I'm rambling.
  14. To be fair, if you've had a decent gaming PC, the loading stuff won't be much more than "God, finally, now stop putting critical info in loading screens." That and we can also now expect decent transition animations when we do encounter loads now. Dark Souls 2 and 3 on PC load faster than Demon's Souls on PS5, but the transition makes loading in Demon's Souls much more enjoyable and less like "whoops we didn't plan on you loading that quickly." While the loading times are nice, the real question mark is how soon we'll start seeing games designed without the shackles of the HDD being a baseline expectation. I just want every game to drop HDD support immediately. From MMOs like WoW and FFXIV (FFXIV could truly go open world if they so desired without the PS4 holding it back, and even if not, encounter design could get positively wild if they could do classic FF battles like flying through different environments) to even shit like Destiny 2, where I bet the game would be much more enjoyable if instead of load screens, even fast ones, you hopped in your ship and physically flew up and out of the atmosphere, into space, and onto whatever your target destination was, with no actual loss of continuity. And that's STILL just baseline low hanging fruit, games could theoretically radically alter their very core design for entirely new experiences.
  15. I've done what I almost never do and just skipped to the last page without reading literally any of the thread because I'll just state this: Nintendo should make games at least as powerful as they need to be to run their own games very well. The Switch hasn't even been powerful enough to get their first-party shit running up to par. Odyssey may have ran great, but BotW ran and continues to run like ass, just less like ass than at launch. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was a performance disaster, and I think that kind of showing is a damn shame. I don't care if their console is "powerful," just that maybe they should take their most intensive game, and get it running at native res (whatever that might be) and 60 FPS, and then that should be the minimum power their machine should have. And also whoever is in charge of their online infrastructure needs to be bled out on a street corner so I can watch them suffer. But only a little bit.
  16. My point wasn't whether or not they could compete with high-end PCs, but rather the XSX by all means should be outperforming (slightly) the PS5 in most of the cases where it's falling behind, so I agree. Something seems rushed or broken, hopefully only temporarily.
  17. Eh, that seems to be less and less the case these days as consoles become closer and closer to just being PCs. Here's one example from Digital Foundry: From other comparisons I've seen, this seems to hold true pretty much across the board on cross-platform games.
  18. The PS5 should absolutely be getting slightly beaten by the Series X in the vast majority of multiplatform games. There's got to be something rotten or not yet finished with the XSX, because there's no reason it should be so consistently behind, and often with really bizarre issues that aren't just a performance difference. Like in the Series S, Cyberpunk would just straight up freeze for several seconds. This tells me it's not a performance delta, but an actual problem. Either that or the PS5 is just receiving more dev time on every single game, which seems unlikely. Hopefully whatever is wrong can be fixed, because it's getting a little sad. And we know there's no magic secret sauce in the PS5, because in comparisons with PCs, there's a completely predictable power delta. If the GPU in the PC is 20% slower than the PS5, it will run 20% worse, and vice versa.
  19. I really do enjoy exploring and taking screenshots in this game! In spoiler tags, since there's so many. Probably some repeats and some shitty ones since I uploaded the entire folder.
