I think that ultra hot memory is going to cause a lot of issues within the next couple of years. Memory at those temps is not great. They need to get some fan profiles out ASAP because I'd be doing anything I could do get temps down if my RAM was anywhere near that.

Huh. Thought I'd be more excited as I've been waiting for a TWEWY sequel for years and years now. But the weirdly limited selection of platforms (for 2021 no less) combined with the clearly microscopic budget and frankly shitty music and terrible voice acting just kind of took all the wind out of my sails. The only time the music stopped sucking for a second was when it switched over to a version of TWEWY 1 music. Cool, fun music was like the defining feature of the first game.

I set it to "default" which allegedly switches back and forth depending on which version is "stronger" or something? I don't know what that means, I thought it'd be story-influenced but I've been female Eivor the entire game so far. Granted, I'm not very far at all in the actual story since I play these games like Skyrim where I just go do side shit for 95 hours and then eventually stop playing once I've had my fun, but I thought the idea of me switching between two versions of the same character was cool. That said, I've found female Eivor to be perfectly fine. Not quite as much as I liked Kassandra, and what little I have seen of male Eivor seems far better than Alexios.

Damn, that memory temp is deeply concerning. I think it's accurate to assume that Astro is not pushing the PS5 to its limits, and the issue will only get worse over time. Think I might just start running mine with no side panels, because those temp differences when you're so close to the thermal limit make a huge fucking difference. You do NOT want your hardware sitting that close to its limit, especially when it starts getting warmer outside.

The worst MMO of all time is FFXIV 1.0. And you can find plenty of people who played through the entirety of the Avengers and did not enjoy it very much at all. And the few that do outside of the dedicated fanbase every single game gates are annoyed because the combat only starts being good long after you beat the campaign and finally start getting endgame abilities, which are still completely ignored by enemies that can't be stunned/juggled.

Imagine the company that made the worst MMO of all time that had to be rebuilt over several years and rereleased as a new game trying to sell other divisions of its company because products "underperformed." Fuckin Square Enix, man. And now, completely counter to the point I just made... Now think of all the games where I don't have to invoke gaming from 30+ years ago and how we used to love our busted shitty games when we were stupid kids who didn't know any better. Be it base game or post-launch content, there are just way too many superior options to Avengers right now.

Surprisingly its 24-hour peak is over 12,000 players, compared to Avenger's 1.8k. Goddamn, imagine losing that hard to NMS.

They need to be Ghosts of Tsushima in there so I don't have to spend money on it.

You could ask me that about literally any Assassin's Creed game and I'd have the same blank stare as an answer every time. I don't play these games for the main story so I don't really know. Eivor wants to build a settlement but there's proto-templars related to the dude who killed their dad and uh, your visions kind of guide you I guess?

Anyone who thinks a 30 FPS video game legitimately looks more "cinematic" is a dullard. And who the fuck plays games to emulate cinema to begin with? It's just like a weird fucking coping mechanism that some people have started taking seriously. Also 60 FPS games with 30 FPS cutscenes can suck my taint. That shit is jarring and looks terrible. DESTINY.

Stuff like Demon's Souls defaulting to performance mode gives me hope that people will start demanding more games hit that mark. Let this long reign of 30FPS bullshit finally be over! Console games are SO much more playable at 60. I don't feel like I'm missing out on the "real" version of Demon's Souls because it manages to both look nice and run well. Make THAT the standard!

It's just a gender-neutral version of Latino/Latina, which already seems a little redundant to me since we don't have masculine and feminine distinctions like that in English (usually), and most people saying "Latino" mean "both Latino and Latina," but it's hardly some big controversial thing, or at least it shouldn't be.
