The reviews are like deja vue from 8. (I can’t believe how long ago 8 released now). Dragon Quest knows exactly what it is. I actually think the long ass kotaku review is the review to watch if you’re on the fence about the game. I’ve seen some critical reviews that like criticize the battle system but clearly do not have any knowledge about how it actually works. There was a time where I was on board with the idea that the jrpg trope of the chosen young kid who saves the world was getting old, but now I actually find the pointing out that that’s a trope is the more annoying trope lol. Yeah, I get it. The story is boiler plate jrpg bullshit. That’s what I want for once.

I hope so. I would love to play some Nintendo classics on the damn thing. They are just starting with NES games though, correct?

I’m guessing it’ll detail some of their online service stuff maybe?

I have this as well. It’s fantasticaliy designed.

I almost started it last night but I had to go to bed. Tonight is sketchy. All I wanna do it play it.

I have it and played about 10 hours, but I fell off. Maybe I’ll boot it back up.

I like God of War. But I don’t think it’s really even close to a masterpiece. The boss fights are kinda bad. There are some major plot pacing and tonal issues. There’s not enough enemy variety, and several of the enemies are straight up not fun to fight. It does a lot of awesome stuff too, but it was a really good game and not all that memorable in the grand scheme of things for me.

I didn’t ignore it. I took it and was fine with it. It was the attack of me that I took umbrage with. Frankly, I don’t know if it’s offensive to me, but as I said, it’s tiresome when I honestly just want to discuss shit.

No, I truly disagree. He backs it up, especially if pushed. I don’t always agree with him, but I always appreciate his feedback. He’s a unique voice on the boards and D1P is better for it. I just dont think what you’re saying is true or helpful.

He almost always has comprehensive, specific criticisms, especially if challenged on his opinions. It’s a nice contrast to a lot of people who post pretty much the same thing for any new game that comes out. I would say he’s consistent in his bluntness, but I actually don’t have a great feel for what games he will like and not like. And when he does like something, I perk up, because he doesn’t just jump on the bandwagon of omg this game is awesome with every big release.

Gertsmann of all people was raving about this game. My hype level has never been higher.

Base destiny 2 is still a pretty good get. I almost bought GOW 3 after finishing the new one, so this is great.
