ARZ
Saddest thing about the announcement is that it's 3 player couch-co-op. The friends I'd play it with are no where near my couch! Other than that, the 20th can't come soon enough!!

Bloodporne
The only Battletoads I ever played back in the day was Battletoads & Double Dragon on SNES and it was really fun.
Brian
@Rachel The Battletoads return tomorrow, August 20th, courtesy of @dlalastudios! To celebrate, anyone who finishes Act One of the raucous multi-genre adventure, at any time, will be able to festoon their ship with a family of fighting frogs! Or are they toads? We hear it's a wart thing. pic.twitter.com/1BRKaglxHE— Sea of Thieves (@SeaOfThieves) August 19, 2020
XxEvil AshxX
It's unlocked already. Playing it now. EDIT: It's... interesting. Still not a fan of the animation style, but it works. The sense of humor is decent so far, I've gotten a chuckle or two. Only on the second stage so we'll see how it goes. Gameplay feels tight so far, even though it's taking some getting used to. Greatoneshere
I'm surprised Rare outsourced one of their own beloved legacy IP's. I didn't realize that was from a different studio than Rare themselves. Not inherently a good or bad thing, just surprising to me.

That said, this game is fuckin' weird, and that's a good thing. I have to give the developers (and MS) credit. They just went for it. This is the kind of whacky shit that Game Pass was made for.

vaxick
Watching somebody playthrough this game completely turned me off to it. It just seems like a million game types cobbled together instead of focusing on the parts of Battletoads that people liked.

Keyser_Soze
Wow, watching some people play through this game and it is a mess. The writing isn’t particularly good and there are like 3 beat em up levels the rest are like not fun “other” sections

It's been a while since I played the NES version, but I thought that fewer than half the levels were beat em ups? There are a ton of gimmick stages.
