And the so called defensive coach took the cowboys to the playoffs with one of the best defenses and got blown out of the building. Great hire! :p

What's going on with Bieniemy? Surely he should have been the guy to take over the team.

Bieniemy isn’t head coach material.

Hey look at it this way @Slug he got the Falcons within inches of a Super Bowl championship. (Yes I know they should’ve won and collapsed a 28-3 lead and blew the biggest lead in Super Bowl history) But he took the FALCONS. The Commanders could have done much worse than hiring Quinn.

I'm not thrilled because I'm immediately biased against anything Dallas.  That said, he's not a bad coach, but I'm a little bummed we didn't move in a different direction; we just finished the old-school defensive coach experiment and it didn't turn out great.  But I'm rooting for him to be successful.

As for EB...I mean..nothing that happened last year shows me that he should automatically be The Guy.  I'm sure he's capable, but one season of "meh" offense isn't a great audition.  He may not even be on the staff much longer.

He created a meh offense out of a terrible offense. Seems like he did a pretty good job. Not everyone can go from Patrick Mahomes to Mr. Nobody and succeed. :p

'seem like he did a pretty good job' doesn't exactly make me want to run out and give him the HC nod.  Again, not saying he isn't capable or wouldn't do fine.  Just that I don't think he's an automatic shoe-in.

Kliff Kingsbury, who was close to becoming the Raiders' offensive coordinator, is now a leading candidate to become the Commanders' offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN.

As a Giants fan, this keeps getting better and better.

If they bring it Getsy, they must believe the problem in Chicago was Fields, not Getsy.  The noise around the Raiders trading for Fields is probably just spectulation.

There is talk everyday here in Atlanta about Fields coming to the Falcons via a huge trade. It’s all probably being put out there by Chicago to hype interest in him.

The first flag of Super Bowl LVIII was thrown six days before kickoff, with the San Francisco 49ers unhappy with the soft practice field surface at UNLV, their assigned location for practice this week.

The 49ers don't like the Rebel's practice field.  The Chiefs are apparently 100% happy with the Raiders practice field.

Why on gods green earth did the Raiders let the CHIEFS use their practice field?

The Philadelphia Eagles will play in the NFL's first game ever played in Brazil on the opening weekend of the 2024 season, the league announced on Monday.

I think the Falcons play them next year on the road. So we got a chance we will be playing in Brazil.

He threw the ball too much

However, one team source said late in the year, the issues were compounded by Bieniemy's desire to throw the ball -- Washington led the league with 636 pass attempts this season.

The Commanders fired offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy after one season with the team, coach Dan Quinn said Monday.

This really confuses me.  Despite how popular it is on TV in Brazil, Serie A doesn't draw that many fans to stadiums (relative to attendance in more developed nations).

If Corinthinans only manage to 2/3 fill the stadium at a fraction of the price of an NFL ticket -- how is this game gonna make sense?

Does anything the NFL does make sense?

I agree. Doesn’t make much sense financially. I assume they don’t care about the money as much as having the spectacle in Brazil and the time zone makes it easier for US market to watch.

The NFL is headed to Spain in 2025 for the first regular-season game ever in that country.

NFL making decisions left and right that clearly say they don’t give a fuck about fans.

He needs to get a refund from whoever sold him that obviously useless product.

It was prescribed medication that didn't have a therapeutic exemption so this is just kind of the shitty NFL crackdown on things that don't matter rather than an actual PED.
