Feet? What an odd concept. Strange looking boney lumps on the end of your legs. You know what we can't stand? Having to look at your feet while gaming. It's awful. One second you're trying to noscope 360 some dweeb, the next your big toe is bringing down your TTK and you're missing out on Killstreaks. Our friends at Shoes have got just what you need to ensure you never have to worry about being on the toe-end of the scoreboard ever again: Shoes! Shoes look great, keep your feet warm, and also prevent you from accidentally viewing your feet in the heat of a battle. Check out Shoes at all good retailers.

Quite honestly people complaining about a game winning GOTY from different outlets, and they haven't even played the game is childish. Like I haven't played Baldur's Gate III or Alan Wake 2, but all the praise about them makes me want to.

At the end of the day these awards mean nothing. It's someone else's opinion, and your own best game of the year is just as valid.

I am only joking around. I couldn't care less who the fuck wins GOTY. BG3 was a revolutionary RPG in a lot of ways so imo it deserves GOTY.

I have played Alan Wake 2 (14 hours) and it's definitely not a GOTY, period.

Zelda deserves it's nods, too.

Counterpoint: AW2 IS the GOAT

The "gameplay" is extremely basic and average. No way a game like that deserves GOTY. It seems like some fanboys are trying to give it more credit than it deserves just for their own vindication and to support Remedy. It's by no means a bad game but it doesn't do anything really great. The story like cnut said is wonky as hell, too.

AW2 is the artsy fartsy pretentious choice as I mentioned earlier.

While there is nothing actually wrong with stepee's opinion, I still want to say WRONG because I'm an asshole.

AW 2 is the Phish of video games. It’s a band with a cult following that tries their best to convince you it’s great. When you ask for a song recommendation, you get “a song?! Pfft how about 20 that you need to listen before you can appreciate its greatness.  Then listen to them again but high af to get the next level of meaning.”

Fuck you Phish. Fuck you AW2.

OR

One guy posts the wrong and everyone trues the wrong.

Think About It GIF by Identity

OR

Everyone reacts with WRONG and the guy who is WRONG has no reply to latch on to so they have to make a reply without being able to respond to another post which then leads to more WRONG reacts which then forces the wrong-guy to either stop responding or keep talking to the air. It's so toxic I love it.

Stepee is usually pretty good with opinions on games even though he is very forgiving.

His opinion about Alan Wake 2 is awful and falls in line with the other fanboys in the industry giving it GOTY or runner-up.

I will never touch the game again. It's a cluster fuck of a story and the gameplay is so freakin shallow.

I still love you stepee!
