When someone says to kill everyone who doesn’t support green policies, that means they want war. That’s what I was responding too, so yes, someone did.

its not being obtuse to say that other nations are not going to willingly cripple economic growth to please a few western nations. there is no other way to force India/China (used as an example because they are the largest pollution creating economies) to meet climate goals. 
 

the world can’t be saved by North America and Europe going green (not that it means we shouldn’t). So if you have ANY solution better than war, I’d love to hear it. Asking nicely certainly isn’t an option. 
 

and we still haven’t studied the effects of micro plastics in oceans and shared water sources, and the effects that will begin having on life.

the answer to climate change needs to be technology to clean the atmosphere. While I have zero idea how possible that is, this pie in the sky zero emissions, end oil dependence thing is completely unrealistic, and most countries aren’t even trying.

To be honest, if climate change causes such dramatic shifts that countries are scrambling for resources, that could start another world war, or at least smaller wars.

It's already going to start sooner rather than later. There are tensions between Egypt and Ethiopia over the Nile as well as high tension between all the -stans in Central Asia.

Hey, so it turns out that sulfur pollution from ships has maybe been accidentally geoengineering the planet and cancelling out the greenhouse effect this whole time, and the massive increase in ocean temperatures this year may be due to said sulfur pollution now being banned...

lol that as soon as the “geoengineering” stopped it immediately caused increases in temperatures is exactly what has been predicted to happen if we attempted large scale geoengineering (on purpose)

I mean... that's a good thing. It proves that we can do it with intention. Creating clouds isn't that hard and there are ways to do it effectively without pumping sulfuric acid into the air.

 

It's just a band aid solution, but it is an entirely doable solution. And we now have proof that it works.
