silentbob
‘Friday The 13th’ Prequel Series ‘Crystal Lake’ Ordered At Peacock From Bryan Fuller & A24; Move Follows Interesting Legal Battle DEADLINE.COM Bryan Fuller has scored a straight-to-series order from Peacock for a prequel series set in the Friday the 13th universe. I’d watch just because it’s Bryan Fuller 2
Brick
OK the idea of a Crystal Lake prequel sounded dumb, and pointless, but hearing it's going to be from Bryan Fuller now has me intrigued instead. (still waiting for that Hannibal revival though)
69los
Fuller's attached. I'm in.
Massdriver
I’m in as well! I’m waiting for someone to take on A Nightmare on Elm Street too.
EternallDarkness
really not sure how this will work, but I'll definitely check it out
Greatoneshere
In because of Bryan Fuller, except he left the last 4 shows he was attached to, so hopefully he sticks around (including American Gods, Interview with the Vampire, and Star Trek: Discovery). He also walked away from Apple's Amazing Stories reboot as well and his Munsters reboot (the Mockingbird Lane TV pilot) was not picked up either. SoberChef
If we cannot get a 4th season of Hannibal, then this is, by all accounts, a very valid alternative! Fuller is such a fantastic writer.

SoberChef
In case anyone isn't aware, because Sean Cunningham isn't involved, the only things that really can be used in this series is the location of the camp, Pamela herself, and that's about it. I know that grown up Jason & the mask are items belonging to the Cunningham side of things, however they can use childhood Jason in the prequel series. What I really love about this series potential, and I believe its what probably drew Fuller in, at least in part, is the fact that there is an inherent challenge in terms of not only what can & cannot be used but that its being adapted for a TV series that is more or less official unlike the old "Friday 13th TV series" which was basically only in name. Add to that is the fact that Fuller had to work within a lot of those similar constraints when adapting Hannibal for TV (still to this day one of THE greatest series ever hands down, seek it out if you haven't watched it yet!)

Hannibal was must watch during it's run and I've been meaning to re-watch it again. I wonder if we'll get Mr. Voorhees. I saw that he was cut from Part 6 so maybe they may have to change the name. 1

A buddy of mine just watched it recently. Was fun experiencing it through his eyes. That show was so far ahead of its time... would have done better as a streaming show and not a network show on primetime NBC. I'm thankful we got the three seasons we got. 2
SoberChef
Amazing news for the show - they're allowed to use EVERYTHING!
Derek
Nice. Fuller was going to make a cool show, one way or the other, so those two might as well make some money off of it. Jason has been dormant for quite a few years now.
Brick
I wonder if this does well, if now that NBC/Universal has Peacock they could revive Hannibal as a Peacock exclusive. That show was too good, and too sophisticated for mainstream audiences on basic network television. 1
Massdriver
Jason didn't get his hockey mask until 3. I was thinking they could use the ack over his head like they did in part 2, but I guess that's no longer necessary.
finaljedi
I'm onboard with Bryan Fuller for everything he's done so far but the subject of this show doesn't really hook me so I'm torn.
