crispy4000
Fuck yeah! Now I need a supported games list. Sounds like most Direct X11/12 games should work.

Dre801
I'm in the Insider Program. Might have to drag my PC into the living room and hook it up there to check it out.
Mr.Vic20
Fantastic! Now work to make sure HDR doesn't flicker in and out as I scroll down a webpage, and we'll finally be gold!
cusideabelincoln
So we won't have to turn on the shitty Windows HDR* desktop mode? Yay! Edit: Oh, shit, did they fix the HDR setting in Windows yet or not? So that you can actually use HDR on the desktop without everything looking like shit? Reputator
Fun fact, HDR lighting in games has been around since 2004. GPUs have been processing it for over a decade, but it was only recently that monitors have been able to actually display the higher color precision depth. Up until then, they had to do what's called "tone mapping" to reduce the color depth to something a non-HDR monitor could display. It's really not surprising that many games can be simply modified to remove this tone mapping step and output high dynamic range color to the display directly. stepee
I have this set up now and it’s pretty rad! Works better than I thought, I guess because of how lame Windows hdr is, but it doesn’t seem like some lame fake attempt. I tried Hat In time and Vampyr and it worked on both, Hat in Time especially looks really nice with it activated!
Moa
The worst bloom of all time was in Rainbow Six Siege before they improved it. Holy shit having that level of bloom in a competitive shooter was infuriating.
