  1. Watching at the moment - interesting but I like my documentaries a little bit dryer - but giving it the sense of believability. The range of experts and interview choices make it feel less authentic. Although it does help reaffirm my choice to not eat meat or fish - I think my next step is going to only buy dairy and eggs from local farms (and same for veg that I can’t grow myself). I wish that was a change I could make now - but with life as it is, I’m just not rich enough. I also need to reduce my electricity and gas usage per day - which is pretty much impossible with having a baby but I’m sure there’s more that can be done.
  2. FF7 is having that wonderful effect that I think about playing it when I’m not. I’ve played 1 hour 40 minutes today and made it to Section 7. The last game I had this vibe was The Last of Us: Part 2 and Death Stranding. Both games that I really enjoyed - so that bodes well.
  3. Finally completed Control. I definitely really liked the game as a whole, although it would never be my GOTY for 2019. It would be a fantastic game though to 100% if I was so inclined as bumping up my stats at the end made the game even more fun. FF7 is downloading and I’ve got Undertale (last boss) and Golf Story to see off - then Hades! Update: played the first chapter of FF7 and so far, so good. There’s something lovely about playing a full on AAA game. I’m not loving the install though that has stopped me playing.
  4. I don’t believe my parents are atheist, but we’ve never had any religious associations at home (except that both me and my sister we’re baptised - though that was more about having a party than anything overly religious).
  5. I’ve eaten some BBQ, had an Easter Egg and played with my daughter in the garden. About as good an Easter as you could have in sort of lockdown.
  6. Just played through the very cool part of Control. I don’t think I’ve found a segment as cool since Alan Wake...which makes sense.
  7. Still waiting for mine...but it’s fine as I’m a teacher in contact with 32 children daily and no one wears masks. Amazing I’ve made it this far really.
  8. Do you just like it for the plot lines?
  9. Still Control, but I’m going to see if I can finish it this weekend - depending on whether or not then any naps much.
  10. Its true name is The Great British Bake Off - Baking Show just sounds wrong. It’s ok BBC in the UK but I couldn’t tell you how to watch it anywhere else in the world.
  11. See...why pay for porn? Is there something drastically better going on?
  12. I don’t know who I respect less. A person who pays for someone to share nude photos, or the person who pays when they aren’t even nude.
  13. I literally never just open the zipper, always the top button as well. To answer, it all comes out.
  14. Salmon have more DNA shared with humans than they do sharks.
  15. Brings a different meaning to the term ‘edge lord’
  16. For the period when we started trying to when we found out we were expecting, it felt like I had a second job.
  17. Great British Menu is back on TV 50000000/10 It’s the best cooking programme ever made and everyone that’s enjoyed the Great British (sigh) Baking Show, would like this. Also Line of Duty is back and continues to be the best as well.
  18. Let’s be honest, neither of these things are great to start a day off properly. Both can definitely be enjoyed in those exact ways, though circumstance kind of dictates whether that’s a healthy enjoyment or not.
  19. Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wind Waker Pokemon Red Resident Evil 2 (N64) Jesus, if I had to actually go through everything I’d be ranking things like Snowboard Kids...
  20. Another month, another round of downloads. It almost makes up for the wealth of shit over the past year.

    Moving

I moved from one tiny island to a larger one and I’ve moved twice with my wife to live in different parts of the country. I’ve lived it and set myself up straight away by joining a local rugby team which instantly gave me a group of people to socialise with. That would be my only advice - invest in a hobby early if you can (COVID depending).
